As a citizen I would like to do something against Israel, after the savage brutality and lack of humanity they have shown.

But throwing shit at synagogues are juvenile pranks and I doubt jews would mind.

So, what's left? Can we send money to the arabs, or help them in some other effective way?

Not that I agree with everything Israel does.. But why is it you guys don't blame Hezbollah for doing their operations and launching missiles from areas that they know will cause civilian injuries if Israel strikes them..

Also I know this is quite the silly question as well.. But why is it Israel is supposed to just sit back and allow Palestine's to blow up busses all over Israel and allow Hezbollah to keep lobbing rockets at them and do nothing in return.

It's sad that the Lebanese are in the middle of this but hey.. their army could have decided to work with Israel and take care of the Hezbollah issue. So why do you bash Israel because they are fighting back?

There are masses of mixed up events in what you are saying crockett. The press may report them in X order, but the people on the ground are prob the only folks who know what they are doing.

Underneath... everyone has their reasons and motivation. It may be because a weapon killed their family. It may be because they have been oppressed for decades - the list is endless. Many of these reasons are prob things we would do ourselves under the same conditions.

Hezbollah now have a lot of support - certainly in Gaza - basically a ghetto or concentration camp. Israel has elected to bomb and invade - that is their choice. Stop getting your news from American cable television or the Bush administration dude. This war is not justified.

The violence did not start the way you described. Israel pulled out from Gaza many months ago. About one month ago, they entreated again and took several prisoners. Hamas responded to that by tunneling into Israel, attacking a military outpost, and taking one soldier hostage. In response to that, Israel began military attacks against the people of Gaza.

To show solidarity with the people of Gaza, Hezbollah attacked an Israeli army outpost and took two soldiers. They wanted to do a prisoner exchange. This happened after Israel started attacking Gaza. It's amazing how everyone forgets that this recent violence started in Gaza, but I guess I just have to remember that most people actually get their information for TV. After this, Israel began attacking Lebanon and has not let up.

I know it's hard to look at a situation in context when you're getting your information from the hate mongers we call pundits. But this situation did not start with Hezbollah launching missiles into Israel. That's Bill O'Rielly style yellow journalism.

I'm sure there is an agenda here.. If Bush and Co. really want to hit Iran or Syria I'm sure this will be the time. In reality if we did attack them, we could damn sure use Iseral's help. So if Iseral is already in the mist of an attack, what better time could there be if there is a agenda behind it? I'm sure we will find out one way or the other.

Also I'm sure Israel was waiting on the right moment to do what they did. The thing is, what else are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to just sit back and do nothing and hope the problem goes away?

Hezbollah are what they call the defenders of Lebanon, from when they were occupied by Israel. This war is just going to make them stronger as well.

As long as Israel treats the Palestinians like Hitler treated the Jews in WWII (short of gas chambers, so far anyway), there will be resistance groups. The more Arab countries they invade, the more people will join these groups. It doesn't matter what they call themselves, Hezbollah, PLO, Hamas, names don't matter.

Dude regardless of who attacked who in Gaza.. Well the simple fact is Lebanon is not Gaza. Hezbollah knew by attacking Israel that they would bring attacks back on them from Israel..

if lebanon would have dismantled hezbullah a long time ago we wouldn't even be talking about this today. something has to be done and israel is taking care of it. if people have to die to do so then so be it. sacrafice 100's of lives to possibly save thousands later on down the road. sounds barbaric but it's the way the world turns.

When folks have no real weapons and elect to fight wars on a guerilla basis - they can't be "defeated". It's been like that for centuries and recent examples were Russia in the Middle East - same with the US in that region now.

One thing for sure... like al Queda, the moment you attack them (or purport to attack them

) by conventional means and people see this - they will get more support (even from folks who would never have considered sympathy towards them). The best recruiters and funders of al Queda is the current US Admin.

Within the last short while Hezbollah have now become the flavor of the month with the people in Gaza - and chances are, they will now have a swelling support in Lebanon. They are now the defenders of the Lebanese people (in fact - suppose they always have been).

Man.. there is no difference between a suicide bombing and by F-16's. The "defense industry" may propogate spewage otherwise - but that never brought anyone back to life.

The biggest perps in the whole world on this bullshit are the US govt and US "defense industry" who purvey more arms worldwide than all other nations combined. Sure - they will attempt to make distinctions about "terrorists" and "suicide bombers" - partly because both can fuck up their balance sheets and cause trade deficit problems. They are in the business of aggression and killing despite being incorrectly named the "defense industry".

Pastime no but hatred of Jews is taught in schools throughout the Arab world. Its an article of faith not a pastime. The Madrases in say Pakistan and elsewhere are clear on 'the fate that shall be delievered to unbelievers' which covers Christians, Jews, Hindus etc - ie Hindu's are 'little better than pigs' etc

As a citizen I would like to do something against Israel, after the savage brutality and lack of humanity they have shown. But throwing shit at synagogues are juvenile pranks and I doubt jews would mind. So, what's left? Can we send money to the arabs, or help them in some other effective way?

The violence did not start the way you described. Israel pulled out from Gaza many months ago. About one month ago, they entreated again and took several prisoners. Hamas responded to that by tunneling into Israel, attacking a military outpost, and taking one soldier hostage. In response to that, Israel began military attacks against the people of Gaza. To show solidarity with the people of Gaza, Hezbollah attacked an Israeli army outpost and took two soldiers. They wanted to do a prisoner exchange. This happened after Israel started attacking Gaza. It's amazing how everyone forgets that this recent violence started in Gaza, but I guess I just have to remember that most people actually get their information for TV. After this, Israel began attacking Lebanon and has not let up. I know it's hard to look at a situation in context when you're getting your information from the hate mongers we call pundits. But this situation did not start with Hezbollah launching missiles into Israel. That's Bill O'Rielly style yellow journalism.

Neiter can the Israeli army, as shown by 18 years of occupation which saw the group formed and get increasingly stronger. Hezbollah are what they call the defenders of Lebanon, from when they were occupied by Israel. This war is just going to make them stronger as well. As long as Israel treats the Palestinians like Hitler treated the Jews in WWII (short of gas chambers, so far anyway), there will be resistance groups. The more Arab countries they invade, the more people will join these groups. It doesn't matter what they call themselves, Hezbollah, PLO, Hamas, names don't matter.
