this whining is really begining to look pathetic, I took one tour and that was because my mouse went over the picture by accident, (most surfers wouldnt have figured out the splash page at all) and you yourself said I should have blah blah blah.., so ya fucked up... Its ok, learn from it and go on, But this incesant its not fair whining is ruining it for everyone else...

Amp.. Great fucking job on the site. But you had an advantage with the site name. Mafia porn already exists so...it's kinda not fair. It's not an everyday niche..guns and girls. As far as your site goes and did I take your tour? Ummm........... yes I did. As far as it being the BEST? No it wasn't the best, while it was damn good and I loved the index page alot, it wasn't the best.

And working very hard on something doesn't mean you should win, it simply means you busted your ass and while you are good, there are always going to be some that are better than you......... I am not going to sit here and crituque your work in public, but I can say this. You are very good...... all of you are.

And I can tell you this much right now, I LOVE just looking at Design work, any of the designers I know can tell you that. ALOT of the ones I know will come to me and ask me to look at their newest designs because they know I will be honest with them, they know if I think it is the shit, I will tell them and if I don't I'll tell them that too. And no I am not perfect, what *I* like isn't what the next person will like, but I DO know a good design when I see it and I don't care who you are, if it's not the best I have ever seen I am sure as all hell not going to just stroke your ego and tell you it is. DUH!!

I don't care WHO did which one of these sites, they could have told me who did each and every single one of these and my vote would have still been the same...... this was not an easy judgement to make, ALL of these sites impressed me...........

To be honest? I didn't know even half of those names on that list were even designers until I seen the names beside them, and I am but just ONE webmaster..... imagine all of the others that didn't know you and others were designers...... look at it in a positive light......... there are ALOT of very good webmasters who now know who the best of the best are........... and you are in that list of the best of the best...............

Of all the webmasters I know, you are one of the Elite 30 on that list....... do you know what *I* personally would do to be one of that 30? I would kill to be able to do design work like any ONE of you on that list, and I am sure I am not alone on that feeling...........

So take it for what it is, you are on a list that wasn't easy to get on, USE that...... so you didn't win this time, work on perfecting what you do and who knows, you may win the next one........ in the meantime, also use it for what publicity it got you and capitilize on it. Anyone says they need to see your work, SHOW them your credentials, show them you are on one of the most Elite Designers lists in the Adult Industry.............

I just find it totally strange that Amp called out all these designers only to turn around and submit contracted work, logo and all.... I wanted to see Amp's more original work, not his redesign of a site we've all seen.

It just does not seem right.

I'm an artist (off the internet) and have been a part of some major west coast design showcase events. If I were to submit something I had been contracted to do, it would be completely scorned. In the real art world you just don't do that sort of thing. Contracted work is portfolio worthy, but you don't design something for a well known person, and then submit it into a contest.

I was under the impression that this contest was about the artistic value of the design, not some publicity stunt.

Then again, this industry is 1000% business all the way. To think that this contest would go down any differently was a naive assumption on my part, and others.

Next Contest needs to require a GFY login/pass to vote, not a poll on the web open for anyone and the shameful exploit of deleting cookies and re-voting.

I said I can't do graphics personally on the computer...... I was on my way to art school until my dad squashed that whole idea saying there was no money in it. I have had my REALTIME paintings entered in several contests and exhibits......... just because I don't do design work online does NOT mean I don't know good art when I see it or that I have no talent in doing it offline. I know what I am looking for and what is good and what isn't.

I am no amateur when it comes to artistic talent and abilities, I have a good eye for it, otherwise so many wouldn't come to me when it comes to looking at their design work..... DUH!!!!!!

And Hypo, please don't ASSUME so much...... you didn't win, get over it. You are NOT doing yourself any good at all in beating this to death, you didn't win......... like I said, your work was very good, but it wasn't perfect.......

on this page here, the two girls you cut into this design page specifically do not blend in well. You can clearly see the cut marks where you cut them out and laid them in, they should be blended in a little more.

This page here.... look at the girl with her back to you, looks like part of her butt was cut off, and the girl holding her....... you can still see white lines where it wasn't cut out properly.....

This is two of the things that jumped out at me here....... this is just little minor things, but attention to details like this can make or break you in a contest of this magnitude.

This is just a few things here, like I said, I could never do this myself, so you have me whipped, but I do have an eye for it and I do have a brain, and I know what is good. Just little things like this though can set you off..... work on that and you will be working towards the perfection you so desire...........

Again, I am not trying to be a bitch, but you assume too much in thinking because I can't do what you do, that I don't have an eye for it.

I never said you have no eye for graphics, just that the judges ought to be people who actually are experts in what they are judging. There is a big difference being an artist and being a computer artist. The majority of the designers on this contest can't draw at all, and if they can its amatuerish, so your being someone who can paint does not matter at all in this judging. Anyone can spot badly cutout images, that does not make you an expert on web/computer graphics. And the rest of the judges, they arent graphical experts either. jfpdude mentioned it was Bosshawg's pickings that decided the winners. Thats 4 computer graphics illiterate people judging a computer graphics contest. Does sound kinda stupid doesnt it?

Congratulations the three of you - you all did a great job! Really! Sorry for the bitching. And I'm mucho at fault myself for the silly blurred splash page. I still think it was good, but I oughta have made the pictures clickable.

So again, congrats on a job well done!! And the others who made some really good tours too. All except the granny - sorry, I cannot look at grannies at sex objects and cannot forgive you for that. They are cute cuddly homely things, and let them be that.

Loved those wires on the wire tour!

The cloud thing was nicely innovative!

The monsters was a neat idea! And the girl on the front woowoo!

Xtreme Dreams was technically sooooooo perfect!

Teen Stop would have been excellent but it was just tooo orangy!

HotCherryAmateurs was so pretty and colorful and liney!

That cum site was strangely alluring, almost tempting me to join!

Alias schoolgirl was very tempting too - yumm! Shame he got disqualified for nothing.

The toons splash page was excellent!

The Gothic Site was beautiful in its colors! Both of them actually.

The diary site was so realistically amateurish I almost thought the girl made it herself!

Barebacks was very nicely done!

PlanetPussy, very sci-fi tho it could have been more technical.

And so many others I missed out..

It was a great competition with some seriously knockout designs, and has taught me a thing or two! Many many things in fact! And thusly, I bow out.

(but I'm still convinced Mrs Amp is Amp)

We all had an option to vote on whomever we wanted to vote on, and the decision was not unanimous, we aren't that "stupid" as you seem to think we are.

But THIS I can assure you, if I am going to PAY someone to do design my work for me, then I want very special attention paid to those details, and will pay more for it.

As for being an expert? No I am not, are YOU? I have never claimed to be an expert in my life, not on anything, but STUPID I am not and it offends me that you say that we are stupid. I have been pretty reasonable with you up til now but now you are being just plain ridiculous in your rantings.

I am done with this with you, I have done nothing but tried to help you understand how my personal decisions were made and to have you call me and the rest of these people stupid was way out of line on your part. Take care and best of luck in your future ventures.

Hypo, you're out of control now. I think your artwork is good, but you are carrying this way too far.

You didn't look at TGF's design, but you gave him a 5. How can you complain about how any of the voting went? You had two tours and a confusing splash page. Just for submitting two tours then campaigning on GFY during the voting, you should be disqualified.

Some of you guys are complaining way too much. One of the top 3 designs won. It's not as if I (with no graphical ability) made a piece of shit tour and won the competition.

I know you guys worked hard on these, but geez...have a little dignity when you lose.
