There was nothing "fixed" about it alias. The judges did an excellent job and did not know what tours belonged to who. The judges didn't know until after JPF posted the names next to them. Don't be a sore loser.

Just a little FYI the first Judge was BossHawg ... it went from there ... basically it ended up being BossHawgs Picks but through a lot of discussion.

There was absolutely no cheating or biased involved.

Signature fonts are a dead give a away, especially when you use them on every site.

Regardless of the apparent controversy, kudos to the winners. And kudos to all the other participants too. There are a lot of great designs out there - not just the top 3.

I'll be interested to see how much these things sell for, or better yet, how well they convert once they are live...

mrs amp i got disqualified not even ranked, dont tell me not to be a sore loser when this whole thing is RIGGED i could care less about the prize but this was supposed to be a showdown with real rankings

gary my shit was ranked in the top 10 until i easily exploited the results to expose the method that mafia porn [among others] used to cheat the results

the toonx site was the real winner but since this shit is rigged now snow cna spam some gay shit about his new "trophy site"

It's funny that I am being grouped into anything here...like my site sucks?!? I haven't bitched about a thing and yesterday after the first hour of voting I was ahead by almost 1.5 full points...and this morning I was leading by a bit...the only site safely in the 6 point range...and I came in third. Yet, you don't see me pissing, bitching and moaning. I am content...my work speaks much louder than the whiner's words.

Get a pacifier and chill...you're honestly hurting yourslef and your design "business" far worse than your words could ever prove your moot point. Just like you guys, I feel I should have won...but that's pride and not neccessarily reality in the market-place.

Everyone did great and as I stated earlier...it takes balls to whip out your dick in a crowded room and ask everyone what they think. No matter where I finish, I congratulate you all...there were some seriously creative things there and no one should hang their heads :thumbsup (except *maybe* those who are bitching)

Just for shits and giggles, I'd be interested to know how many total "votes" were cast and by how many "voters".

For the record, I'm not saying you were or were not cheating (nor do I care), but a better way to "expose" the cheaters would have been to just point out what they were doing (as other people did). If you really wanted to SHOW everyone what they were doing, you should have bumped up a site that was low on the list (not in contention), and especially not your own. Surely you can see how people might think pushing your own site up like that was you cheating...

Nobody mentioned amp designing mafiaporn.

Nobody is saying the top 3 didnt deserve to be top 3 BUT they got there because you can easily see who designed them...I dont even study fpa's and designers work on here and I could point out 3-5 sites that i knew EXACTLY who did them,thats the only unfair thing...since the rules did state it...


I actually liked the mafiaporn one the best but things just seem a lil too coincidental that they person who proposed the whole contest won and broke a few rules along the way...

where are the details of the votes?

they must be stored somewhere. they would be needed to calculate average scores.

I would of hated to be a judge, eveyone did a fine job, but there has to be one winner,,. The Toon site was very very nice.
My opinion on some of the sites: The chicks you used were awful looking. (anerexic)

After i saw that amp won, i congratulated him on winning and his response was, yeah, now the crying will begin.

I think people are getting too hung up on the rule about not knowing who designed the tours. If you read it carefully, it says you can't put your name or contact info on there. It specifically says that if people pick up on your style, that's ok:

7: Tours may not be blatantly designer identifiable until AFTER the competition. What this means is, the voting is going to be anonymous. You can't put your name on the thing or something so that people will instantly recognize who did it. If your particular style is picked up on, that's acceptable (and really unavoidable anyway), but don't "mark" your tour by putting your company url on it or something.
FEMALES: Because of the anonymity factor, do not build a tour using yourself as the model if you are obviously recognizable. We all know how many votes you could draw by doing so. ;-)

But Seriously, I couldnt tell that was amps work, I couldnt see anyones "sig" and I have been around for awhile and seen alot of design.

When I saw Mafia, I had no clue it was Amp. God, Amp, I love the smoking guns!!!!!

Next time, go with no prizes. Then it'll be about fun again. And after the contest the talk will be of the designs and which ones kicked ass and which ones were disappointing instead of who won and how they won and how the contest itself was run.

Alias, why are you so focused on that rating system? The judges were the ones to ultimately decide everything, not the rating system. And the judges did an excellent job. Some, if not all of them didn't even know Amp was entered in this thing. He has no affiliation with the judges whatsoever. Just because he won you're going to say it was rigged? So what if some voters recognized the styles. Wasn't that provisioned for in the beginning? Kind of unavoidable isn't it?

Are you going to say these people are biased? How so? And as far as the MafiaPorn connection, Amp's never done work for Snow before. I know this for a fact. I have his client records right here in front of me. How could you possibly connect that to him?

I don't understand where all this is coming from. I think he did a good job on Snow's site. And I think the other people did great work as well. VERY nice sites. And while the voting/rating thing may not have been perfect, the judging was honest. And the judges can attest to that.

If someone buys the toon tour to use I'd be interested to know which sponsor. Fuck - I wish I had enough toon content to buy and use it.

Hmmm, ever hear of ICQ???? Its this cool program that allows you to send messages to other people AND you can even get messages back from them. Go to download.com and do a search for ICQ. you should be able to find it there. I dont think its been out long, but ive seen a few people who use it.
