hm, calm down guys!

Personaly I though mafiaporn tour was designed by Hungryman. I rated it 9/10 and it was among the best. I gave 10/10 to Hypo's tour believing that as a combination of concept and skills was the best.
I didn't give high grade to the toon site. Not that easy a toon site can impress me, but this is just me and my personal opinion.

Each time things at GFY tend to turn to shit....pretty sad

The Mafiaporn is cool too no bad words from me on the result I rated Mafiaporn 9 but toonX was defenitely my personal favorite

Congrats to the winners. I for one have been totally inspired to keep working at bieng a good designer.

I knew when I entered, that I wouldn't win, but I am nonetheless proud of my design. It'll be going live as a premium avs a.s.a.p. Like I mentioned in other posts, I have just recently began learning photoshop. Just wait til the next one ( if there is a next one ) I'd venture to bet that I make the top 10 next year.

all I really know is that the more I looked at mafiaporn, the more inspired I became, and the more I had to say, damn what a kickass fucking design. Those frickin' guns, man.

Again, congrats to everyone that put their best foot forward. Until next year.

I am absolutely not trying to do that. I just think wether amp was first or third, the top 34 sites deserved to be there. Nobody who has complained has had a better design than those.

I do not want people thinking I was bitching about the final results shown on http://gfydesigncontest.com/v/results.html

which are obviously different and obviously more accurate.

Ok, I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in here... why I have no idea because I will probably catch hell SOMEWHERE along the way, but what the hell, never stopped me before.

Ok, I was one of the judges........ I have the utmost respect and admiration for anyone who can do design work. BUT as bad as I hate to admit it but do often, I suck SOOOO bad at this type of thing so I didn't even go near any of this as in keeping up with who did what... and might I also add in here, that everyone knows I have been in my own hell and haven't had time to post or look at anything..... I have been too busy just trying to get my own life back on track......

Having said all of this:
EVERYONE knows my past relations with Snow, I am not a damn fool, I know damn well who mafiaporn is...... while snow and I have made a peace and get along fine now, we are in no way the best of friends, do ANY of you honestly think that if I didn't think mafiaporn was the best I would have voted for it?

Furthermore, I swear to god, I honestly thought someone else designed the toon site, it is sooooo good, but I swear up until I seen who actually owned it, I thought it was done by one of my own designers......... do you think I would have put HIM second if I was being partial? Hell no I wouldn't have.......

I was in that room with all of these judges and not one of us ever even knew who any of these sites belonged to, the only thing I was SURE of is that mafiaporn was snow's........ no one in that room was anymore concerned with who which one belonged to than anything, they chose based on what site they thought was the best.

As far as any previous voting or squabbles, I have NO idea about any of that because this is the first time I have even read thru any of the posts about this contests........ I only know that I, as well as all the ones in that room did the best we could and didn't do anything based on WHO they belonged to.

In fact I was shocked as hell that the one I THOUGHT did the toon site turned out to be someone other than who I originally thought it was........

ALL of these sites were amazing and I think any one of you should be proud of your work, they were all awesome as hell sites........ this has brought you all alot of attention as in your talents and your work will speak for itself...... don't make this a bad thing, just look at all the publicity you got with this contest and use it to each of your advantage.......

But I feel real bad about losing, I put an awful lot of time and effort behind the whole thing and I guess I'm just a sore loser. I do wish the judges would tell me why my site didnt win anything though. I wouldnt have minded coming in the top 5 even, and I just hope the judges got to see my site instead of just the Top 3 for voting.

Here's the main reason....

I told you already, you should have made the images clickable instead of the text on the left and bottom. When a surfer mouses over the blur which is first instinct they are not clickable, so immediately surfer begins looking for "a way out" and obviously most couldnt "continue" so they found a way out homie,... maybe this can help.

Well yes, but the judges arent that stupid that they couldnt find the links? Or if they are, then they didnt ought to be judges. I can understand the voters, cos they had to go through a ton of sites, but if the judges got the top 10 then they would definitely have found the tours. Unless they looked through only the top 3. Which would be stupid cos the voting was easily rigged.

Not that easy a toon site can impress me, but this is just me and my personal opinion. Each time things at GFY tend to turn to shit....pretty sad

I for one have been totally inspired to keep working at bieng a good designer. I knew when I entered, that I wouldn't win, but I am nonetheless proud of my design. It'll be going live as a premium avs a.s.a.p. Like I mentioned in other posts, I have just recently began learning photoshop. Just wait til the next one ( if there is a next one ) I'd venture to bet that I make the top 10 next year. all I really know is that the more I looked at mafiaporn, the more inspired I became, and the more I had to say, damn what a kickass fucking design. Those frickin' guns, man. Again, congrats to everyone that put their best foot forward. Until next year. Peace, Turbo Oh, and while I do agree with some aspects of it being run unfairly, you cannot deny that the sites that won, really are awsome pieces of work.

Ok, I was one of the judges........ I have the utmost respect and admiration for anyone who can do design work. BUT as bad as I hate to admit it but do often, I suck SOOOO bad at this type of thing so I didn't even go near any of this as in keeping up with who did what... and might I also add in here, that everyone knows I have been in my own hell and haven't had time to post or look at anything..... I have been too busy just trying to get my own life back on track...... Having said all of this: EVERYONE knows my past relations with Snow, I am not a damn fool, I know damn well who mafiaporn is...... while snow and I have made a peace and get along fine now, we are in no way the best of friends, do ANY of you honestly think that if I didn't think mafiaporn was the best I would have voted for it? Furthermore, I swear to god, I honestly thought someone else designed the toon site, it is sooooo good, but I swear up until I seen who actually owned it, I thought it was done by one of my own designers......... do you think I would have put HIM second if I was being partial? Hell no I wouldn't have....... I was in that room with all of these judges and not one of us ever even knew who any of these sites belonged to, the only thing I was SURE of is that mafiaporn was snow's........ no one in that room was anymore concerned with who which one belonged to than anything, they chose based on what site they thought was the best. As far as any previous voting or squabbles, I have NO idea about any of that because this is the first time I have even read thru any of the posts about this contests........ I only know that I, as well as all the ones in that room did the best we could and didn't do anything based on WHO they belonged to. In fact I was shocked as hell that the one I THOUGHT did the toon site turned out to be someone other than who I originally thought it was........ ALL of these sites were amazing and I think any one of you should be proud of your work, they were all awesome as hell sites........ this has brought you all alot of attention as in your talents and your work will speak for itself...... don't make this a bad thing, just look at all the publicity you got with this contest and use it to each of your advantage....... I think that the Toon Site Rocked ass and should be #1.. Fletch your getting fucking awesome everyday and you have an killer stand-out style.. TGF.. i loved your site dude!! it rocked.. i would even go out on a limb and say it was probably one of the top 3 when it would come to conversion but people dont like the granny niche.. Great work! Hypo.. sites rocked bro.. nice shit.. love the toon one. If bosshawg was a judge it i know atleast one judge who was str8 up and honest.. he can be the most critical when it comes to design i know, and so does amp.. I hate all the controversy but the contest ROCKED!!

I do wish the judges would tell me why my site didnt win anything though. I wouldnt have minded coming in the top 5 even, and I just hope the judges got to see my site instead of just the Top 3 for voting. <b>Just to clear that up, Tam did you even see my tour before deciding on the winners?</b>

I can understand the voters, cos they had to go through a ton of sites, but if the judges got the top 10 then they would definitely have found the tours. Unless they looked through only the top 3. Which would be stupid cos the voting was easily rigged.
