Percents for profit splitting on solo girl site?

How much does the girl get vs. photographer, videographer and webmaster?

Webmaster: 40%
Photographer/Videographer (two individuals involved): 30%
Model: 30%

The model would hold weekly webcam shows as well and be self promoting herself. Are my figures fair? What do other sites split? I know 50/50 for model/webmaster, but in this case, there are two other people that need a cut to produce ALL the content for potentially no money. I'm the videographer in this deal so I need it to push the envelope for my end of the deal ;)

True, but that would mean she probably won't be involved in the site and do such things as cam shows. That stuff helps rebills a lot.

even girls who are on a percentage dont care and dont show up or at least drunk or fucked up.

Pay your models and youre good. Percentages suck. And that 40% webmaster percentage has to be 50 or 60 at LEAST.

I am the webmaster, photographer, videographer and editor for the sites I run

now, if I could just figure out how to transform my brain into a web server I would not have to worry about hosting...LOL

Cool, very interesting way of looking at things indeed. I'm just thinking how many members I need to make the 15k/year or so that the content is worth back and then some due to the risk involved.

300 members x 25/month x 12 months x 10% = $9000/year which is a bit slim for the amount the content is worth but still not too bad for the time it takes, which is about 2 weeks full time. So seeing that wouldn't 10% be a bit too low?

Also, I wouldn't cut the model in, if she didn't agree to webcam shows and having a hands on approach. The one I am thinking of has a great head on her shoulders BUT I'd still hold a contract and if she faultered would be cut out/bought out for the portion what the site was worth at that time based on her share. That way the site could run its course until the pre-shot content ran out.

Again, pay the model, own the content. Any other way and your just asking for problems. Almost all the models are going to want $$ up front. Everytime in the past that I have tried to work out a % deal with a model for a site I have ended up getting nothing out of it due to the models flaking out. So now it's pay at time of shoot and thats it. As far as cam shows, pay her per show. I was paying 100 bucks per girl per hour show. Simple as that.

Problem is if you're just getting in, there are more expenses than resources. Ya have to bite the bullet and pay the model. Don't forget to hire an attorney to help with a contract and 2257.

It is cheaper and easier to buy content if you doing a whole site. wearing all the hats is a tall order. Can you really be pro at all aspects of a site? That would include design, webmaster, sales, SEO, content production, IT admin......

Contracts are worthless to most young people in the business, especially models and the fact is at some point in the near future she'll more than likely get a boyfriend or have a change in heart. Pay her for the content and pay her to do webcam shows for the site.

They'll be nothing sadder or more a pain in the ass than you and the model fighting over a percentage of $0 profit

Don't ever shot your g/f or wife!! I know this has worked for some. BUT!!!! There usually comes a day when she wants the content taken down. That can be for any number of reasons. You have kids, she lands a mainstream job, you breakup and a million other things to go wrong.

well, of course they do....hell, once I reach the $150k mark I plan on hiring 1 if not 2 people...but there is no reason if you are technically saavy to not learn everything yourself, or at least some things, it will help you greatly in the long run

another great thing about the biz these days is the fact that there is so much automation software out there, to the extent that if you didn't want to have an actual "webmaster" taking care of your site, you really don't have to

I would not want to pay anyone 30-40% for filming it. I would just pay the girl for every video and every cam show. Once you make more you can pay her more and keep her coming back. We did it all by ourself, We learned alot and it still looks like crap, Just looking for the right people to join us by the start of next year. Maybe you could find something like that

This is true becaue there is so much to do, we hired a lawyer, Filmed 200 videos, took 10,000 pictures, learned how to edit them, took some basic web design classes. Bought a dvd machine. listed thousands of auctions. Submitted galleries. made them, and there is still to much to do. Now I want to hire someone to do everything. Even walk to my mailbox for me
