Some of my favorite healthy snacks are....Popsicles/Fudgsicles, pretzels, fruit, veggies, low fat granola bars, low fat string cheese, WOW chips (they're the kind with Olean in them), crackers, english muffins with jelly (avoid bagels though--they have a TON of calories)...I could go on forever. Drink LOTS of water while you're snacking too--it will really fill you up. Another great drink is the new Propel water by Gatorade....hardly any calories in it and I love it.

If you need to lose weight, consider Weight Watchers (you don't have to go in person, you can just buy the program info online)--it works and you'll learn a lot about healthy eating.

God, was it obvious that this post was written by a girl or what, lol.

Good lord, if I ate 6 full meals a day, I'd weigh 300 pounds.

actually they tell you to eat every 3 hours.. so for some of us, that is around 5-6 meals per day.

get off your ass and jog for a couple miles 3 days a week, stop eating fast food, and you will lose a LOT of weight. its really that simple, obviously if you went more hardcore youd lose more, but if you can do the above, you will shit a brick when you see the results...

It is more healthy to eat 5 or 6 smaller meals a day instead of 2 or 3 big ones; its all about portion size. Also for those who prefer the big portions it's better to eat it at lunch time as your body has more time to digest the food aswell as make use of the energy from it.

Get some protein shakes from GNC. Protein curbs your hunger more than carbohydrate snacks you are probably eating. I can suggest some good ones.

I think my main problem is modivation. I have plenty of reasons why I want to sit in front of this computer all day and night and work my ass off but I really have no reasons to go running, I'm not trying to lose weight, I only weigh about 162 lbs. The reason I'd like some healthy snack ideas is that maybe it will help me have more energy or something, then I may actually want to get up and go jog or something

actually its best to eat your big meal at breakfast. your body goes 8 hours burning all the calories in your body and thats usually the longest you go without eating. so you need to make breakfast your biggest meal. they say dinner should be the smallest meal because any extra calories you dont burn before bed can turn to fat, so that makes lunch in between.

the best way to get rid of hunger is drinking alot of water. you might be thirsty and think that you're hungry and eat instead of drink water.

do you really like those protein shakes? i tried them before and i thought they were totally nasty. i used to drink weight gainer shakes and those tasted fine.

thats your problem, you get a ton more energy when you work out. i dont know about running, but when i run+lift weights i sleep more, but when i'm awake i have a ton more energy. if you're going to sit at a computer all day you wont have any energy, and i doubt any energy bars will change that very much. start out slow and do like 15 minutes of cardio to start. you dont have to run, you could do jumping jacks or whatever you want, just get your heart rate up to about 140 or so for about 15 minutes. try doing this once a day and you will see a huge energy increase.

You know whats good? That Special K berry cereal; I love that stuff. I usually throw some fresh strawberries or a banana in it and it fills you right up. For anyone who hasn't had it before I would recommend giving it a try.

agreed, when I used to do cardio on the nordictrack I have and lift weights I had noticably more energy and I also seemed to be more happy go lucky; not that I'm not now but working out is good for the mind aswell as the body.

A treadmill with a monitor, mouse, and keyboard built in would be tight...

Try eating celery - you'll burn more calories eating and digesting a stick of celery than are actually in the stick of celery...

If your problem is that you sit infront of the computer all day, DON'T snack on carbs (powerbars, most grainy foods)~ because you're not burning them so they're turning into fat. Look for protien rich foods that are low in carbs. If you want something tasty and satisfying get some meal replacement bars and cut them into tiny pieces.
I snack on Celery because it's negative calories (actually zero calories, but you burn some when you chew). I also eat several small meals, so I'm satisfying my snacking nature, and I'm raising my metabolic rate because my body knows it doesn't have to store anything for fear of starvation.
