I do know a lot were pissed when Bush sr. didnt press on to Baghdad and take out sadam in the gulf war. We knew then that he'd gassed the kurds and let him have his country still.

The entire region is just fucked up. You know, 65% of suicide bombings are done by Saudi's, 10% by Iraqi's.. wtf. I should be like one of my brothers who ignores the news, especially national/international news. He says "In all my life not a single bit of that will affect me directly so why bother?"

Nico... once again.. I've got no beef with you but the thought that this or any war is about "OIL" is ignorant. The US buys most of it's oil from the UAE. That's not "Iraq". Have you looked to see what Iraqis are paying per gallon for gasoline? If not you might want to do so.

Like I said above "responsible for this whole mess" isn't one guy. That's not possible. Otherwise it would be "A" mess. Is it a mess? I think so. But I don't think it's a mess that could have been avoided over that last 30 years.
