....what went on the barbecue? Was it my beloved steak? Or ribs? PK burgers?

I Q'ed up a nice huge boneless salmon steak for my brother, his stepson and myself last week. Damn that char-broiled salmon is amazing.

Can't beat a good barby, when I get old and fat I would love to enter those mad US grill off things.

Only problem is I can never see the day when I can stand by a bbq for 8 hours with out drinking enough beer to kill a horse.

But for Toronto webmasters my ribs will rock your world, maybe we should have a picnic.

It's T-Bones and Tenderloins, tonight. Smells great out on the deck, but I always end up smelling like the BBQ before I'm done. Got this nice top of the line Broilmaster gas grill with the gas line from the house run right to the deck.. no messing with propane tanks. Makes it a bit easier.

There isn't a new guy. The few since my divorce all end up getting way to comfortable with my lifestyle and me paying for it. If they can't treat me like the girl down the street (splitting dinner tabs or alternating who pays, etc), I don't need them. I'm just enjoying hanging with my two boys for now.

I am sorry, but using gas to barbecue is like using a pencil to paint with. Why not just use the stove.

Maybe the Tahoe boys can help me with this one, but I got a new place up there and a new Propane grill that doesn't get hot enough. It's a high BTU unit, but does the altitude fuck it up?

most likely yes, I think you will find most recipes that discuss high altitude cooking will require you cook longer - this would be due to the fact that at higher altitudes the air is thinner, and naturally, fire needs oxygen to burn hotter. Not sure how you can add oxygen to the mixture, so probably just have to cook longer.
