And at random. There appears to be a consensus that passenger jets crashed into the WTC (I am excluding those that think it was not jets but big bombs disguised as jets with the passengers vapourised at Area 51). We can also agree (ish) that the jets were flown by Arabs who were fantantical in pursuit of their cause and willing to die for it. Whether these people were in the pay of Bin Laden or Bush we will skip for the time being.

Now the act of crashing one or more jets into the WTC would have been sufficient terorist outrage to spark subsequent events (war in Afganistan, Iraq, Patriot Act etc). Whether the WTC collapsed in its entirety or not as a consequence of the attack is irrelevant as is the attack on the Pentagon.

For Bush and his cronies to plan this and make it work the key would be make it simple but dramatic - and having a jet or jets crash into the WTC in full view for all to see fits this.

The building collapsing is unnecessary for what they supposedly wanted to achieve and the other attacks are irrelevant and best explained if they are actually carried out by someone bent on achieving maximum damage on their 'enemy' rather than preparing the way for the American people to go to war etc

The reason why you conspiracy theorists and your theories do not gain any real credence with serious commentators is the sheer stupidity that underpins them. This obsession with why the WTC collapsed is a classic example. No one with any credibility regards this as important. The act of crashing jets onto them is the key point and the trigger for what followed. The fact they ultimately collapsed is irrelevant. To plant bombs in them as well as crashing jets is an act of total lunacy and to keep banging on about it undermines any credance you may have.
