My resolution to the Israel and Palestinian problem.

It is my understanding that when the UN ordered the original partition the "Palestinians" were left without a contiguos border.

Even if I am incorrect about that; the current situation is that the Palestinians currently do not have a contiguos border and are divided into 13 different areas, with the areas in between being controlled by the Israelies.

My resolution is the following:

#1. The UN order a new partition with the "Palestinians" having a contiguous border.

#2. We put pressure on Israel and the Palestinians to accept without argument the new partition. Israel cannot exist without the billions of dollars we give them each year in financial and military aid, so they will have to comply. The Palestinians should readily accept because in will give them an independent country with a contiguos border.

#3: An outside military force is put in the area, preferrably from that part of the world, but if necessary a UN force, or NATO force. A no man's land separating the border between the two countries, replete with outposts, roving patrols, and electronic sensors, to keep infiltration to a minimum.

#4: Any acts of terrorism by either side to be handled in the World Court.

#5: A massive input of money (preferrably by the Muslim world) to the Palestinians to rebuild their country and develop a viable economy.

#6: Keep this outside military force in place for at least two or more generations. When both economies are doing well, when the newer generations, are enjoying the fruits of peace and a reasonable economy, the hatred will reside.


Will this plan imediately stop all of the killing. No; but it should reduce it, maybe, by 90% and as generations pass, maybe more.

3. no man's land...the WHOLE country is smaller then the state of Florida...you can drive from north to south in 8h or so and from west to east in about 3h...

easy math Jordan 85% palestinans 20% others= Palestine
Israel 80% israelis 20% palestinans = ISRAEL

i'm tired of getting into this every time...but you leave me now choice...even if i won't change your mind...i must write it...

As far as pressure on Israel: Israel cannot exist without the financial and military aid we provide them, so they will comply, if we cut the aid off.

A no man's land can be a mile or less in width, so of course there can be a no man's land.

Your resolution is not workable, my resolution can be workable.

1. it's not since 1948...the occupation started on 1967 (a war we didn't start)

2. the U.S will never stop their support for Israel...for tons of reasons starting from the powerful jews that are in "key places"
and ending at the fact that israel is the only democratic country (and a lot of the U.S info about the terrorists groups is comming from the israeli "Mosad" )

In 1948, the Palestinians had a chance to have their own country. The UN Resolution that created Israel also set aside land for a Palestinian nation. The Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world declined. They wanted no Israel nation to exist at all, and were planning on simply killing it when it was setup.

They lost.

They tried again in 1967. Lost again. Israel takes the spoils of war and occupies land so that it can't be used as a launching pad for similar acts of aggression in the future.

2000 - Israel offers to make huge concessions to the Palestinians, including land for their own country. Palestine declines, and orders more suicide bombings.

The Palestinians had their chances. The Arabs and the Palestinians have always refused the path of peace until they realize they simply can't kill Israel and then start bleating about how unfair life is.

okay fine..... but it IS possible to beat them into complete submission and force them to either live with the Israelis or move the fuck out to somewhere else where they ARE wanted. Besides, negotiating with terrorists is a poor precedent.

All it does is teach every other whacko in the world that if they want something they need to kill a few hundred women and children and they'll get what they want.

If the Palestinians had acted civilized and not like a bunch of barbarians stuck in the dark ages, this could have been solved years ago.

Burden of action for peace is on Palestine now. Israel has done all that should be expected of it. So whatever happens to Palestine now, happens. They made their bed, they can lie in it.

the war with the Palestinians isn't about land it's about the fact that israel it's the only democracy in the middle east.

in the POA they execute ppl every day because of their opinions about Arafat or something.

The POA and the Arab counties can do nothing military about israel because their ass will be kicked like always,

I am assuming the hatred runs so deep that there will be Palestinians that will want to kill to Israelians, country or no country. That is what the outside military force and the no man's land is for, to reduce the killing, by both sides, to a minimum.

To those of you that have suggested that the Palestinians pack up and leave; realistically this is not going to happen. The problem is not going to just go away. There does not appear to be any hope for a polictical solution. In my opinion it is going to take pressure on the UN, Israel, the Palestinians, and an outside military force, as well as economic delvelopment for the Palestianians and several generations passing, to resolve the problem.

For those of you that keep talking about totally unreasonable solutions, offers no solution. For those of you that keep talking about historical events, history is often misinterpreted, and does not have any real relevance to solving the current problems.

Of course I am aware that the powers that be do not read this board, or listen to the everyman, but I think that discussion can be interesting.

I don't know about any of you but I write to my congressman, from time to time. The will of the people sway congressman more than any rich persons/corporation political contributions, because if the will of the people turns against a politician, no amount of money can win him/her election to office.

Difficult but can be done, as all of these have worked in cooperation in the past. I would prefer to see a force from that part of the world, but that may be even more difficult to achieve.

That is the current non solution; killing one another, but who knows, the world may conclude that it is a viable solution. At least that seems to be the case up to this point in time.

The USA would not be involved in that part of the world at all if it were not for Israel and oil. If we played our cards right over the next few years we could do without both, which would not make me unhappy, but realistically this is not going to happen.
