Thanks for the answer! This question just bothered me always and i dreamed to retire one day and live a real life, so i am currious if other that work a lot have same feelings. When i had a chance to retire i realised my projects are my life. But i know one guy who hasn't got back to work yet

Well the real "public" who invests are mutal funds...
The most important for an IPO is the size of the company, as many funds don't like to invest their money in more then 100 companies and at the same time never buy more then 10% of shares... So to get attention of mutual funds the company must be about 1 billion worth, as the budget of most of these fonds is around 1 billion.

Making an IPO is the thing that can revolt the company by providing it with capital to aquaire other companies. So if you have a chance...

I actually talk to and take questions on the person being ambushed on average - from about 5 people. Some more and some less. I talk to their friends and business associates to get the dirt. I could ask more questions but I try and keep them to 30-35 specifically cause that's a LOT of questions to ask and as most that have been ambushed have told me it's a LOT of work and I don't want to make it too much work. I usually have in excess of 50 questions for most people that are ambushed - 70+ for andrew, but I try and choose those that I feel would give the most insight, past, and enjoyment to answer so i pick what i feel are the best ones.

for andrew I believe discussed with and got questions from

Lars, Sagi, Betsy, Lesbodojo, Sean, Stuntpig, myself and of course Andrew himself.

hopefully I'm not forgetting someone.

maybe focus 2/3 on business and a 1/3 on personal.

before we merged. Promotion and delivering on promises is what he's all

It's what makes the interview relevant for years to come as well as a resourse. Business changes day to day - your past is always there. That's what it's about and I try to talk about.

it's ABOUT the people, NOT the business - and how they got to what they are - background on WHO they are - to give people that read it an opportunity to humanize the people behind the scenes and find common ground to talk to them about when they meet them and for those that already know them.

I totally agree with you, I'm very intrigued by this interview myself.

My remarks were directed at the people telling Sleazy his questions sucked and he needed help with them.

In most ambushes people ask a few of their own questions, but for one person to ask a dozen questions (some of which are redundant), and then criticize the person who put the interview together is just ridiculous.
