all i am saying is, the peace process at large, with moderate and sensible leaders like Anuar Saddat and King Hussein - resulted in a peace treety between the parties, in which land was given back. a peace negotiations just like that started between Arafat and Rabin, and ended due to Palestinian suicide attacks. it was restarted several times thereafter. there was almost an agreement when Ehud Barak was the Israeli PM. it was a strategic decision of the Palestinian LEADER (not the Palestinian PEOPLE) to shy away from the political process and re-engage terror. with hundreds of dead women and children it was the responsibility of the government to react.

look what hapenned when israel left the two west bank cities of Qalkilye and Tul-Karem. less than 24 later and there is another suiciide bomb, and another 8 civilians killed. how would America respond to that? how would the other countries that criticise Israel? one way would be to let the UN security counsil protect Israeli citizens. alas, when Israel left lebanon due to a security counsil resolution, and when the entire world accepted the borders to which it withdrawen to as the legitimate international border lines - now that Hizbullah is firing rockets from south lebanon into the northern cities of Israel - who is coming to help us? who is stopping it? fuck - who even condemn it? not you, not the UN and not anybody.

is the current situation shit? yes! are innocent people being killed daily? yes! is there a solution? yes, but only when the leader of the Palestinian authority take a strategic decision to return to the political negotiating table. it's that easy. for the most part, they could have already have their independance and state back in the Rabin days if it wasn't for the same terror campaign.

Jimmy, maybe if you will lead the Palestinians, and when you will attempt to make people lives better around you, things will take a turn for the better.

The only dispute I see is between their (UN/CNN/...) and reality. What happens there is an act of war between Lebanon&Syria and Israel.
