If this were remotely true the IMLive attorney(s) would have instructed them to not issue any public statement pending the investigation.

Forgery and bank fraud are criminal offences and there is no way that the IMLive people would make any statement especially on a public forum like GFY.

Now, libel is a completely different issue. If I were Amy I would print this thread and take it to the nearest attorney. I am 99% sure she has a case for libel against IMLive.

Yyou have been watching too much TV...

I can point you to some excellent Public Defenders. As a matter of fact there is a Federal PD in San Francisco that is also a professor at Hasting Law School. So your allusion to PD's being somehow worth less than a hired gun do not hold water with me.

Bottom line is that IMLive screwed up by commenting on this matter in the way that they did. IMLive opened themselves to civil action by making libelous statements against Amy - plain and simply.

It does not take over six weeks to resolve this matter in total.

Do yourself a favor girl and brief a lawyer immediately and take whatever action is advised and let ImLive know "how bad the situation is" in court (or in settlement) and how it's worth far more than $10,000.

The level of non-activity from ImLive is pathetic - but probably with good reason. It's called optimistic damage limitation and avoidance.

So what happened?

ARS sent me a check once for $4,000 something and this whore I kind of knew through another person stole it out of my truck. She admitted to it.
It was a friend of mine's little sister actually.

She went to CUB FOODS and cashed it. I called and talked to the CEO of ARS and they wouldn't try and prosecute the check as fraud. I told them everything they needed to know.

I then told them to keep the $4,000, but that a drug addict had stolen their check and their affiliate didn't earn the money. I said they didnt even have to pay me, but they should report it.

They said they didn't care. I had proof the check was not cashed by me
from the manager of the BANK.

Luckily the girl didn't make more checks off the check she stole from me.

I never got the money to this day.

Agreed on this. The majority of the best criminal defense lawyers in Florida are all ex-PDs and ex-State Attorneys. The Federal Public Defenders are usually some of the better State level Public Defenders that jump to the Federal system. It's a bit demoralizing on the Federal level though, as the rules of discovery combined with massive mandatory minimum sentences make it so that there are few trials. Usually the Feds flip the defendants like pancakes, making them rat out anyone and everyone in the hopes of escaping a life in prison.

If my life was hanging on the line, I would probably not want a Public Defender, but only because I would want someone that could devote a huge amount of time on my case. Time committment is a luxury that few PDs have.

Looks like IMLive is ducking out on this one. They can't even reply with an: "it's under investigation" remark, yet they were so vocal just a short time ago.

IMLive this is not looking good for you. The jury of public opinion will surely hang you if you just turn and run after the vemon you spewed.
