They won't Nuke China. Something like 98% of all Chinese men smoke, and American ciarettes are trying to take their market. The US tobacco companies will never stand for it.
Now we just need to get tehm all credit cards and an internet connection! |

I think posting that "nuke list" is very stupid.
It shows people that America has no moral issue of using nukes and some of the reasons they listed that could result in using nukes was rather lame. Like if China was to invade Taiwan, would the US nuke some cities and kill millions? North Korea invades the south etc. Some guy in North Korea doesn't dererve to be killed by a nuclear bomb because the government decides to attack The other concern, is that it leaves other countires with the feeling "if America is willing to nuke us, we are willing to do the same to them" Not all those countries have the ability to attack America, but I think China has ability, & enough missles to destory many US cities. Actually it does not seem likely China/US would fight. But perhaps if Bush keeps pissing off China they might just turn to South Korea and sell them some nuclear weapons... That would make things interesting. I also find it odd, Bush went to China and ask them for help in fighting terrorism, then 2 weeks later he puts them on a "nuke list" unreal. |

contingency plans for possibly using nuclear weapons against seven nations: China, Russia, Iraq, North Korea, Iran, Libya and Syria.
What I read into that is a scenario like this. Iraq has a nuke and we suspect they are going to use it. We also suspect one or more of the other countries may join Iraq. The really bad news is that one of those countries is probably a ticking time bomb. We are not just going to drop a bomb on one of these countries because it's a final solution. One of them is probably close to doing something very stupid and the Pentagon sees it coming. |

China was taken off the list!!!
Did you read the update? This means if China invades Taiwan, the US will use their normal military to help, and not use nukes. I can only assume China was taken off the list because they have the ability to launch an attack on the US... Would be stupid to start a nuclear war over Taiwan. However other countries could in theory be nuked if they invade someone else. I guess as long as they don't have nuclear weapons the US will bully them around. |

![]() These current media reports represent absoultely nothing new. We have had contingency plans to use nukes against various countries since 1945. All that is taking place is a review of those plans, as is done and has been done since 1945. I can assure you that there are many more countries on the list at any given point in time (including current allies). Our plans are not static and do come under review, periodically. Nations are added from time to time, but any country that could ever pose a serious threat (including current allies), are never removed from the plans.
What the media reports is sometimes not even true, for various reasons, including the fact that some government source has intentionally leaked misinformation. As for us using nukes, we would positively use nukes, given the right cirumstances. Nukes were considered in the Korean conflict, as well as the Vietnam conflict, and as well as prior to actually beginning operation Desert Storm, and were probably considered prior to the current engagement in Afghanistan. |

Seems like you gonna need those nukes in Afghanistan.
Those 1,000 men hiding in the cave are a serious threat ;)) And no conventional forces seem to bring them down By the way, what do those remaining Al-Qaeda men eat in that cave? Each other? ![]() |

As far as the Nukes are concerned I saw a report last night that said NATO weapons inspectors have not been in Irag since 1998. NATO is planning on forcing inspections in the near future so I would bet that is what all this stems from.
These assholes in Iraq dont have nuclear technology that allows for a missile that explodes and causes mass damage. Their nukes simply explode and spread nuclear waste. So keep in mind that if they do have a nuke and it detonates on the launch pad in or in a lab, Europe and Asia are going to see some serious poison in their atmosphere. If he launches one at us he is going to be toasted with a real nuke. Its bad news all the way around if Iraq has nukes. |
