well, since a few weeks I receive the fileplanet.com newsletter and I tried to download the command&conquer renegade demo when I realized that I'd have to wait 50 MINUTES just for the download to start because they recently installed some sort of "download queue" in which you have to keep a popup open with banners

of course they also offer you to pay for the "0-queue" servers from now on, like a monthyl membership fee - didnt read it yet ;)

unless tgps die or something this is pure fiction..
but after?

I think the idea isnt bad at all

our fellow freeloading, bandwith-sucking surfers have to wait dozens of hours for their download to end at kazaa,etc. , too - why not let them WAIT till they DIE OR PAY

I think that's a great idea. Have a throttled, slow, server that the freeloading masses can get on, after they wait in line. Then have a server that they pay like $5 a week or so to get on with no wait. Big TGPs like The Hun could probably get away with this. If all the THPs did it then there would really be big money in TGPs.
