Why are you Fat? What happened tha ade you fat? Bad diet? Were always fat as a kid? Eat too much? Stressfull life?

I am curious, tell us why you are fat and if you are going to do something about it? I'm not saying you should, just wondering if you will for your own health.

Thats interesting, some people just have good genetics when it comes to cholestrol and stuff, you are lucky.

But I know of people who are 170 pounds and died of a heartattack.

You know, my dad use to always tell me if you have time to take a shower every morning, you have time to excercise.

It is true. All it takes is 20 minutes during the day. You have 1440 minutes each day. If you think about it, everyone has 20 minutes to spare

See... pregnant women eat a lot, yes... but that's through out the day. In each meal, they only eat a few bites. So she'd order a huge meal, eat a few bites and make me eat the rest.

I got fat in college, up to about 27% BF, due to stress. Graduated with top honors though ;)

Lost it all using atkins diet - it was easy as hell. 5 months I lost 55lbs. Kept it off without issue. Stress was the factor that has now been eliminated

I sit at a desk and when i get home its a mad rush to get all the home things done. I recently started doing pushups during commercial breaks on TV though. Gonna impliment some other activities into the breaks too. Hope it helps!

I can't say I'm fat - but I just quit smoking and I put on a few pounds. So I'm tipping the scales at 210 or so right now... but I go to the gym 4-5 times a week and I'm past the munchie stage, that extra 20 pounds is going straight to my chest and arms as we speak.

It's fucking insane, actually.

i'm 55 years old, ride my bike 8 miles every single day, have a flat belly and a BMI of 21.

i eat mostly raw (unprocessed foods) and it is some real effort to stay in shape, there is no "easy" way.

about 2/3rd of adult americans are overweight. and the reason i make a value judgment about it is because if you purchase health insurance from a private carrier (blue cross, etc) you will realize what lazy fat people do to the cost of health care.

there is no such thing as a "healthy" fat person when you figure in cost of health care.

no way to sugarcoat the truth. you fat fucks make health care costs sky rocket, and you don't realize it until you start looking at medical insurance premiums.

I'm not saying you should feel shame for being what you are. I'm very pleasantly plump and I could not care less what anyone thinks about it, I'm just amazed he had the balls to be so publically shallow. Wait, this is GFY, I shouldn't be amazed, shallow is as shallow does.

I was blessed with great genes and a high metabolism. I eat as much as I want, tons of In N Out Cheeseburgers, gallons of Dryers ice cream, loads of pizza, and other stuff and I'm barely 90lbs and still fit in size 00 jeans. Actually certain brand jeans in size 24 are still too big for me.

Eating is one of my hobbies, I love good food. All I do is eat, eat and eat all day and I'm still under 90 lbs... and trust me, I eat A LOT.

I will always probably stay petite for the rest of my life. I am in my late twenties and still super tiny (under 90 lbs). And I don't work out either. I'm gonna start soon, just imagine how toned I would be since I barely have any fat

In order to be toned, all I gotta do is exercise, I don't need to watch my diet. Because right now I eat everything I want, and I NEVER get fat. Life is good ;)

I think it's also because I'm asian. Asian people don't get fat most of the time. Well, actually some DO get fat, but luckily thank God I am not one of them

Yes, the sitting in front of the computer thing is a major cause of alot of people being fat. It's not good for our health, we really should make an effort to get out there and excercise.

Like latinasojourn said, there is no such thing as a healthy obese person

The extra weight is bad for your back and your joints and obese people are more prone for illnesses such as diabetes

And lastly, obese people piss me off when they overflow into my seat on the airplane

I go to the gym monday through friday. All resistance training with freeweights (barbells, dumbbells, and some cable work depending on the muscle group). I have a new partner so I'm there a bit longer than usual, depending on the muscle group once again, I'm there anywhere from an hour (minimum) to 2 hours.

I took a week off recently because I thought I was over training... it was HORRIBLE! I could never imagine continually SITTING on the computer for months on end, day in, day out without working out or at least performing some type of exercise regularly. It makes me feel like shit.

Since that is the "standard" for most of everyone here (involved with computers), they don't know how much better they really would feel throughout the day if they exercised regularly and didn't eat shit 24/7.

I'm working on a new version of my online fitness training site HealthyGo and it's going to be 200x better than what it was before. I can guarantee it's going to be everything a person looking to lose fat or build muscle would want to help reach their goals, both workout-wise and diet-wise. I can't wait till it's done! I'll let everyone know once it is finished.

I've been doing kickboxing class twice a week for 6 weeks now, and it's really paying off. I am surprised that 3 hours a week can make that much of a difference! It's burning off more fat than when I was jogging three days a week.

I would agree with this statement that fat people cannot be healthy. Maybe they feel healthy and there isd nothing wrong with them, but they are bound to feel the problems later on in life.

i stopped smoking 6 months ago, gained 20 lbs

lately i've been making fruit smoothies to keep me full all day so that i dont eat too much, i dont have any snacks in the house (except popcorn), and i put myself on a budget of $50 a week in grocerys for food & other things (like shampoo, tide, etc) and that KEEPS the junk out of here cuz i barely have enough money in my budget to get the bare nessecaties. (hell, Tide costs $8..toliet paper $6..shavers are $7..and meat is around $6..cant get too much for $50 at the store for TWO people.)

i'm also gonna start walkin everynight for 30 mins or more. i'm flying out of town to see my family for thanksgiving and im so nervous cuz all the weight i gained so if i could get the 20 lbs i gained in the past 6 months, i'd be happy as hell. but i still need to get rid of the other extra 30 lbs from sitting at the computer all freakin day for the past couple yrs
