I had almost forgot about it until I kept hearing them today. So much for trying to get out of town to the mall tomorrow. Sigh...

So, do you have an older model? How many have you had over the years? We were so gogogo in Disneyland that I didn't take the time and visit with you and learn anything about you. I talked to Erin about it later and we both felt bad that we didnt spend more time trying to get to know you.

I have a 1968 custom Shovelhead that I built from scratch . . . it is kind of a project bike that I put together and take apart over the years as I try to make it perfect.

I also own a 1986 Heritage Softail. It is a limited edition motorcycle, only 1700 of them made, and it is my "go to" bike with 176k+ miles. I am the original and only owner.

My past street bikes include a 1942 45 ci flathead chopper. Typical of the late 60's early 70's with the entended front end, peanut tank, and sissy bar so long that it could poke your eye out when it was parked.

I also had a 1969 Triumph, 750 cc Trident, chopper, with a Santee hardtail frame. And I had a 1949 panhead custom chopper. I built it from scratch as a chopper in the beginning, and then as a custom restoral.

Great pics. some of those pictures look to go back quite a ways. I have never been on a real motorcycle, but I did crash a rental yamaha once back in about 1968.

Since when is riding a motorcyle about perfomance? Riding motorcyles is not about tricks, showing off, or having a "Status" as you say, My 99' Lowrider has 45k miles on it and i ride because i like to ride, the freedom, fun of getting toghter with my buddies and doing a 500 or 600 mile ride to get a drink. Show me any rice riders that do this? Harleys are about the love of the wind, and getting toghter with friends to go ride and enjoy the ride. Not going 900mph to every destination, but i guess thats what seperates "Bikers" and people who ride motorcyles.

Reno is the only town I have ever been to that I wanted to punch out the manager of McDonalds. Reno has an attitude, I think it is that Napoleon complex from being the "biggest little city" bullshit.

Those "900mph" are just bursts, they can not do it for any length of time. I will race any Jap bike from LA to Daytona Beach. I know I will kick their ass.
