What did you punch. LOL

yeah I snapped 3 and 5 like match sticks and they both came through the top of my hand when I was 18, it was a bloody mess. What they don't tell you is they just never seem to feel right for the longest time after the cast comes off.

and yes I punched something. Dr advised me 99% of the time that is the cause.

The only bone I have ever broken is my left eye orbit. Not very pleasant.

Dudes - I turn wood on a lathe for a hobby in my garage. I always plane down the wood edges (from say a cube to an Octagon) so the chisels run smoother at first when working with a new piece.

Well - I didnt smooth the block off this time and my chisel and hand were drawn into the machine at about 1500rpm - it happens VERY FAST - Like a flash infact.

I havent really worked for 3 weeks now.

I have heard - yes - that this is the "BOXERS BREAK".

Nothing so glam for me Im afraid though

3 and 5 - fack that must have hurt - and as for they eye orbit - well I guess I must be a lucky mother fucker then. Ouch!!!

I'll take mine over a machine injury that would have scared the shit out of me. DAYUM did they soft cast you around a hand plate to keep your bone in place??

and hell yeah, I don't like the orbital being broken that doesn't sound like fun.

I guess I had to het it off my chest by bleating here. Its not that serious but when you catch it on something..... whoaaaaaaaaa oooeeerrrr now wheres those bondage and pain guys - I think I can teach them something about pain.

Cast is an epoxy resin one. rock solid splint down the arm below the elbow to the finger and round the arm etc.

Fack I want to type again - properly that is.

As for woodwork - I will definately be carrying on with it. Its still better than working on computers.

Well for me its kind of relaxing anyways,

lots of broken bones before. 6 ribs all at once was my record number. still have a broken wrist from almost 8 years ago. its heeled but still hurts once and while. usually I have to crack it, then pain subsides. doctors wanted to do surgery on it, bone grafts etc. but they never heel correctly after that kind of surgery.

I've broke a couple of bones before

But you havent really felt pain until you break your knee. And if you think that hurts bad, wait till you wake up from the surgery to fix it.

Should we discuss the months of physical therapy afterwards?

I actually broke the 5th metacarpal also from punching a wall when I was 16. It hurt when the doctor put it back into place but then I got the cast and the vicodin, all set.

I also broke my right knee at 15 from doing a jump on a bicycle. Did not require surgery but the physical therapy was a pain in the ass. The day when I got the cast off and the muscle was soo tight was crazy too.

Unfortunately my bones are intact. However, I once flipped some muscle tissues along my arms when I once played basketball. Not as severe as fructured bones but it somehow hurt.

Had a broken leg at age 6 months, was in a half body cast that held the broken leg steady with the other one... don't remember that though

Broke both bones in my arm around 12. I remember the cast itched more than anything.

Was in a wreck where I broke my collarbone and a rib, which popped out of place several times. That hurt like a motherfucker.

Here's to your speedy recovery
