ePassporte .vs. checks

what reasons would an affiliate have for choosing to be paid via standard check and not ePassporte (including out side of the US)?

epassporte can be a pain in the ass. They also limit how much you can move out easily. $2 fee to get your cash versus just deposit the check. I use epassporte but these came to mind.

If you don't leave in the US, receiving a check by snail mail takes up to a week, cashing it will take another week and cost you anything between $15 and $45 depending on the relation your foreign bank has with the US bank.

epassporte is $2 per transfert, instant and you can draw cash out of any ATM.

My suggestion for ePassporte is to let me wire funds to my Dutch bank account as well. Right now it's only possibe to transfer funds to US accounts

my checks take about 10 days to arrive but when I deposit them I get the money immediately (or I wait 1 day untill I see them in my account), I get charged around $10.00 per check, I think I'll be slowly switching to eppasporte

I would do checks from now on as the fees to transfer funds adds up when you can only do $300.00 per day.

It might be a difference on commissions, but generally epassporte is way more preferable!

Also, it takes them a while for those wires to go through.. it takes less time to receive a check than to receive a wire :-/

Its quite obvious (for non-US people, specialy Europeans and such) why ePass is the best

- No need to wait 15 or more days for checks
- No need to go to the bank and wait lots of time to get the check cashed
- No stupid high bank depositing fees (as if the dollar wasn't worth little nowadays)
- Its great to recive small payments (try to cash a $150 check in most European banks and see how much you will get in the end)
- Fast and on-time (no fuck-around)
- No need to wait 20-30 days to have the cashed check money available.

...

The ability to move cash instantly and globally is reason enought to have parameters in place. It's called risk management. If you ran eP, trust me, you would do the same.

As for the $2 ATM withdrawal fee, usually sponosor programs charge you a $2 fee to cut a check so it's the same difference. Besides, $2 is nothing when you get your funds instantly with no waiting for the mail, no need to update address information, no lost mail, no bounced checks, etc.. etc...

eP makes it's money with fees. Without these (nominal) fees, there would be no ePassporte. Besides, if you spend your money with your eP Visa account, there is no fee.

eP is a tool. Learn to use it to your benefit.

Your transfer parameters can be increased. Getting a "Select" account upgrade, for starters, will double your parameters immediately. If your account type doesn't qualify for a "Select" upgrade, you can identify yourself with ePassporte to get higher limits.

Ok ... I guess epass got a lot better latley . But there used to be so many complaints threads.

Anyways I used epassporte 2 times .

First time :
I use it as a credit card in a home depot . Buy 190ish bucks of stuff ... they FREEZE another 190 bucks in my account (I only had about 50 bucks left ...). My friend ask me if he can use my epass to receive a payment, and he can't even get it out ... how do I look like there ?

2nd time :
Took me for ever to find a bank where it worked ... TD canada trust didn't work, scotia, I tried in 3 different atms, In a desjardins in mtl ... to find out the bank near my place finally worked .

And I guess if you are receiving 10k$ payments ... and you can only retire like 500 daily ... it's not too good.

I can transfer my ePassporte funds to my US bank account for two bucks. I costs me time and money to drive to the bank, stand in line and make the deposit.

But to answer your question, I can't think of truly valid reasons to prefer checks over ePassporte.

How about addressing the issue that I have raised in the initial email that was sent to you last week?

https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/493460-dont-epassporte-buy-online-3.html

Repeated bumps of the above thread and several emails were sent to you but still you have not got the common courtesy to reply.

Really poor customer service Rand.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Epassporte's pretty reliable, but if they happen to be down when you need cash it could be a bit of a sticky wicket, no?

I was referring to the $2 fee lots of sponsors charge to use epassporte. I have very few sponsors charge me for a check.

I do use epassporte. I love the idea of epassporte. I just wish it was more user friendly to get something changed.

If a webmaster has been around a while they have promoted lots of different stuff and get little checks from all kinds of sources. Very cool but an admistrative nightmare. Epassporte solves that. Then in my model that $$$ has to hit my business account before it can be paid to me. I can now do this. It all works.

Actually the ATM feature has nothing to do with the web site performance. They're on two separate networks, so really the only place your question could relate to a problem is if someone wanted to transfer funds to you but couldn't due to maintenance or another rare issue. ACH occasionally has had issues in the past for transfers from eP to a US bank account, but we're still at the mercy of the US banking system there and any time there's a glitch within the ACH system, it does affect that feature.

I live outside the us, but do all my banking in the US. and it is a bit of a pain in the ass, as well as taking a lot longer. With e-pass, I have the money a lot faster, and I can use it just like a CC.
