I've asked quite a few times for your contact info because I want to do business with you. Two of the people I respect more than just about anyone in this biz have spoken highly of you. Dameian from Caughtnude and J99 from pinkteenseries who is now part of the Twistys/Zilla CREW!

I've also always respected how you've built up your business and the ideas you try. In fact I've watched you closely because I feel alot of your ideas are very good.

Anyhow that's all i had to say about that. I've wanted to get in touch with you for some time. With him on board it is definitely only a matter of time before we do some good business together.

Hell I would even sell Burger Boy some chinese hits to boost up his trades if he asked. As far as twistys goes I always have lots of active orders from your affiliates buying traffic to the various galleries and tour pages. Only problem is that I require a minimum of 15 pics on galleries and I think most of yours are much less than that

Hey dude. This makes a whole lot of sense. I totally remember 90% of what you just said. I don't remember talking on the phone.

Let me address the issues you mentioned.

1. not replying to icq. About 3 years ago my 7693964 icq stopped running smoothly. I had so many contacts and bs on there i just stopped using it completely. I only use 122636930. That's why you never got a reply. Sorry about that.

2. about knocking your site. Did i do it? You bet. I remember the thread. I was knocking the directions TGPs were headed in. I felt (and still feel) that too many tgps were becoming cookie cutter sites. You had a formula with what you did. Mike and Peter from Tiava/Searchgals have a formula to what they do. Most people that have copied your layout and his have absolutely no formula and are just lowering the overall quality. You guys are both very successful and it works for you and that's great. I was commenting on how just copying that type of site will not work. Copying a site like that without a formula is a waste of time. The same way trying to start a high quality site without a formula is a waste of time. In that thread I believe i spoke highly of sites like CaughtNude.com AlmightyZeus.com BigBreastLovers.com basically sites with less traffic but make really great money because they are so high quality and surfer driven. I was trying to inspire a few people to actually sit down and try to put together a quality site instead of ripping off other people's layouts and trying to do it the easy way.

I said it in my ambush and I'll say it again, I believe that tgps have made little to no progress over the past few years. The industry has made some huge jumps forward (especially paysites) and yet free sites are the same today as they were 3 years ago. It's sad.

Shap is a brand marketer. Choker is a mass marketer. These two will typically look at the same site in drastically different ways. However, both Choker and Shap areforward thinking, bold and outspoken individuals who champion honesty and innovation in business.

A perfect mix of opposite attraction and common traits? Hmmm....

There have been small advances. the FHG, script improvements and the increase in thumbs(plus the tech to highlight the most clicked etc). It is hard to tell tehm to imrpove, innovate etc when the biggest and best are the same for the last 10 years and making huge bank.

Rick Kid Slick and I used to argue he liked quality I liked quantity.

we have both made good $$ over the years.

on the free site side of things quality won over quantity in the end though as my free sites kinda died out. while others soared. Karups is a good example of quality winning out, in the pay site side of things and I thinkShap also does a wonderful job in this area. Nowdays I try to offer a quality service to my surfers and keep them happy. I think AFF also does this and does it very veyr well. I look forward to the next few years its gonna be fun !

I've been saying it for 7.5 years. Considering our age difference, I'd say I meet the handicap for the course.

You've got your quality based brand marketers: Karups, ATK (my most recent alma mater), Scoreland (my very close friend and much admired big bad billiards man David Uwate), Shap (no introduction needed), FarL (Homegrown), MET Art, Hegre, FTV, Simon Scans, Abby Winters, Explicite, etc, etc, etc......

vs.

Your QUANTITY based marketers: Xpics (the oldskool I graduated from along with Shap and even AlienQ... where we learned right from wrong very explicitly), Click Cash (which I still make an ASSLOAD of money with... sorry CAMS.COM), CE (another skool I attended - my hat still goes off to Ron. Regardless of what the haters say, this is one of the most intelligent men in this industry), MAX Cash, TCG, etc, etc, etc...

In the end it's a wash. One marketing strategy is no more profitable than the other, However, given my personal experience, I tend to stick with quality over the quantity because there is a greater chance of longevity based on factors such as consumer satisfaction, personal referrals, loyalty, and brand preference.

But to each their own. The industry is certainly as open to both schools of thought as it ever has been.

All I want to know is this: When is Shap and Choker gonna GET IT ON!!!!!!!

why can't a quality site like a Twistys do all the stuff an ARS does to turn the extra income and hit both sides of that fence?

I like nastydollars sites and they do crosssales, popups and other of revenue generating things that some old skoolers look down on and have quality members areas.

Your comments are NOT stupid. The ND boys have their content squared away, regardless of their free area marketing strategies. Their members are more than compensated for the cost fo their memberships with high quality, original content. This si the model we should ALL be striving for, regardless of niche.

They CAN, but seldom will. Why Because it is at odds with the whole concept of quality vs. quantity. I used to be the marketing director for ATK and being a consumer oriented company, we certainly made sure we backed away from anything that might turn off a customer. There are very, very, VERY few sites online that have as much content as atk. From my persona observations, it seems as though there is a direct relationship between those who tend to over-exploit the consumer and those who do not have quality content. Those who tend to cater to the surfer and offer a higher level if user experience tend to be less willing to exploit the consumer when they visit their free areas. The theory behind this is quite simple: If someone is willing to bookmak your site, then odds are they are willing to join eventually. All you have to do is give them the right trigger. Once you hook them on your content, and then show them something they simply can not live withour seeing more of, they WILL join. Unless they are chinese ;) No offense Choker... as you well know ;)

Lets talk about fake traffic in your system first. You use no scripts, plain html pages with no way to know what a surfer is clicking on on your site. You probably use Webalizer for stats. How would you know if you had fake traffic or not? You wouldn't. A 14 year old could code a bot and hit you with it and you would never know. Your only assurance that you have all real traffic is the "integrity of your trades" LOL, give me a fucking break. You are ONLY guessing what your trades traffic quality is, you add and delete trades based on what others tell you about sites. Friday I bought a boat. Not having anything to pull it with yet I decided to rent a truck for a couple days so I could take my kids to the lake. Undeterred by my run of bad luck, we continue on the lake for a few more hours until the lake starts getting choppy. Again I back the trailer down the boat ramp perfectly. During the test drive before I bought the boat, the salesman drove the boat all the way onto the trailer so I figured I could do the same. Wrong answer. I went slightly to the left and too far up on the trailer. Trying to reverse I hear scary sounds coming from the outboard. After close examinatation I discover that the one of the trailer runners is wrapped around the prop. Bad thing is the runner was also still attatched to the trailer, so all the weight of the boat was on the front of the boat and the outboard. I could not back the trailer up anymore as the muffler of the truck was already submerged. Thinking if I unhooked the trailer it would only slide back a couple feet, and thus relieve the tension on the outboard, I unhooked the trailer and watched open mouthed as my new boat and trailer rolled into the lake and floated away. So here I am blocking the ramp, 12 boats waiting to dock, and my boat is drifting away with the trailer still attatched. After the boat/trailer drifted about 100 yards out, some people towed it back in to me. At this time there was about 20 boats watiing to pull in, and they were not the friendliest group around. After about a hour of backing up and forth we finally got the outboard unjammed and got the boat back on the trailer. Lucky for me only the prop is trash. Did I forget to mention that I forgot to put sunscreen on? Yep I look like a lobster right now and am in some serious pain. SO now I sit here in front of my computer dehydrated, in pain, and without cable TV. At least the cable modem still works. Now my kids want me to get a camper. LOL

I had to go outside to keep from waking the kid up from laughing so hard.

Funniest story I have heard in a while.

I think many companies don't follow this strategy because of cost. They figure why pore tons of money into having tons of super high quality content for a handful of sites, updated continuously when you could probably make just as much opening more sites covering more niches with not as much content in each site, with fewer updates. In doing so they lessen their overhead and increase net at the end of the day.

Which of the two models generates the higher net revenue "wins" in a strictly business sense. In the end it probably evens out like you said.

We do what we can to combat this. We are constantly finding new ways to stop new methods of cheating. I keep on top of this as best I can. One of the most helpfull tools is the way I let buyers rate niches of traffic. High tech methods we have tons of , but the old method of people reporting suspicous traffic is still the best tool.

many times when I was a kid for partying, etc as a adult about 15 years ago I passed a bad check and got arrested for it, pleaded no contest. That's it. 1 traffic ticket in the last 15 years, I fought it but lost. That really pissed me off so much because I really was innocent.

yep i have NO way of checking my traffic and i work totally blind at all times. I'm a complete idiot. Obviously more than 9/10 of my traffic is fake. There's no way a site like mine could exist unless it's full of fake traffic.

it's much better to post exactly what I am doing and using to combat cheating like you do so cheaters know how to get around it isn't it.

I mean - that's the SMART approach.
