fucking post nazis.... I tried to edit my post for typographical errors, but it said I only had 3 minutes to do so. Fuck this god damn place. HERE is what I wanted to say... edited version. This is exactly why I never post at GFY and could give a flat fuck about it. 3 minute limit on edits? What is this? A fucking Nazi regime? Anyway...

^ totally possible the above comments are stupid but please inform if this is true.
I apologize for typos in advance. I am writing this @ 3 AM and wildly drunk.

Your comments are NOT stupid. The ND boys have their content squared away, regardless of their free area marketing strategies. Their members are more than compensated for the cost of their memberships with high quality, original content. This is the model we should ALL be striving for, regardless of niche.

They CAN, but seldom will. Why Because it is at odds with the whole concept of quality vs. quantity. I used to be the marketing director for ATK and being a consumer oriented company, we certainly made sure we backed away from anything that might turn off a customer. There are very, very, VERY few sites online that have as much content as atk. From my personal observations, it seems as though there is a direct relationship between those who tend to over-exploit the consumer and those who do not have quality content. Those who tend to cater to the surfer and offer a higher level of user experience tend to be less willing to exploit the consumer when they visit their free areas. The theory behind this is quite simple: If someone is willing to bookmak your site, then odds are they are willing to eventually join. All you have to do is give them the right personal catalyst to become a member. Once you hook them on your content, and then show them something they simply can not live without seeing more of, they WILL join. Unless they are chinese ;) No offense Choker... as you well know ;)

CONTENT IS KING.
