I looked at the point size and font size= option and found that font size=3 is pretty close.

If that makes sense so anyone.

12 point is a font size. Though I'm not sure how anyone can guarantee 12 point as an absolute size when different screen resolutions make it relative on the computer, unlike in print.

I know...how? I am a letterpress printer. This is an obsolete method of printing, and in order to understand points, you need to know what they are.

In printer's terms, we measure in points and picas. Throw inches and the metric system out the window.

There are 72 points in a inch. A 12 point typeface is standard size, so to speak...it's about the size of a letter printed in a book, or a newspaper.

Of course none of this matters, as monitor settings render all this worthless.

This is how much the DOJ knows about the interner and our business.

To avoid further confusion between print, web, and viewer resolutions. The DOJ in its infinate wisdom added this line "or no smaller than the second-largest typeface". So go no smaller than 12px or 13 if your real anal. Though odds are that will not be the second largest typeface anyways.

Jees...
Can you imagine someone sitting in federal court in front of a jury of their piers.
The charge: Using a font size smaller than required by 2257
Facing up to 25000.00 in fines and up to 10 years in prison.
I just can't see this ever happening, sure hope not.

LOL the right answer but?

What is a letter press printer? I know, but, doe4s anyone else? I am from a long line of printing dudes and can totally back this guy. A letterpress guy has to know this shit. its dumb shit, but its totally necessary for "hot type" letter press guys.

12pt is pretty big.

I'm surprised they didn't want us to include a scrolling marquee with a 468x60 banner.
