that one used to be pretty easy, but I guess its gotten harder.
CTRL - ALT - DEL, open up the task manager, got processes and kill anything IST related and things that look suspect started by your USER name. Unplug the computer from the internet and then do the following. Run MSCONFIG and remove any instance calling for unknown programs or IST in the startup area. Run you MS Anti-Spyware + Antivirus Simultaneously. I've found that some times when you Anti-Virus holds a suspect file in Quarantine or Temp to see what you want to do, thats when your Spyware removal program should be able to remove it from the system. Hopefully that works. There should be a folder in Program Files to delete too. |

To turn off Windows XP System Restore FIRST Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" now .. start > run > msconfig > boot INI tab > choose safeboot with networking reboot Run Microsoft Antispyware If this does not help let me know I will give you some other options |

Like said above, always run cleaners in safe mode, they can't remove files that are in use when Windows is running.
