| I can't take it anymore!!! Bad beats are fucking killing me. Twice today I'm playing satellites to win a seat in the WSOP. I get a guy all in with KJo.....I have AJs....he's got 3 cards in the deck that can help him. Turn is a K...I'm out of the tourney. 5 minutes ago. I move in with QQ.....get called by AQo. Again only 3 cards in the deck that can help. A comes on the flop....I'm out of the tourney. Thank God I don't play for a living....then it would be really stressful.

if A comes on the flop... doesn't that mean that he only has Pair of AA and you have Three of a kind .. meaning you win ?

 | I think that it is another language. But we will have to wait until he says something else. Be quiet and listen. Maybe we can figure it out.

 | Can't say if they are really "bad beats" or not...would depend on stage of tourney, chip size whatever...if you guys are both short stacked and the blinds are high the calls may not be bad calls..or if the guy has you covered and you're short stacked and no one else is calling...well you know. IMO a bad beat is when you flop and you're like 90+% ahead and go all in and someone calls only to hit runner runner to beat you. |

 | In both instances they were a 3:1 dog...not truly horrendous if the pot is laying them odds to call. |

They had very similar stack sizes. If they had lost the hand they wouldn't have been out, but damn close to it. You're right....hitting the flop big and then having a guy catch a two outer on the river hurts too.

In both cases the only money in the pot was my all in bet...plug the big and small blinds. They were getting MAX 1.5 to 1 on their money. The AQ I can almost understand him calling since the table had been pretty loose. But again I should have won that hand. The KJo calling was just plain dumb though.

He may have thought you were pushing all in with a small pocket pair and then you guys are what 52/48..he was wrong...he may have put you on a complete steal. Should you put your tourney life online for a coinflip? Not if you have plenty of chips in relation to the blinds..but with you pushing all in instead of just raising this tells me that this was probably not the case because you are pushing with A/Js so if it was the same case for him...*short stacked = below 10x's the BB* then calling all in was probably his best move if the BB is coming right around again for him...I'm not saying that I exactly like this call...just thinking it might have been justified to some degree. Also in regards to "I should have won that hand." Entitlement is a dirty word in poker. :D

 | Poker is much luck, it amazes me that people think skill is that important. You can be the best player in the world and lose to a newcomer when you luck is bad. Gambling is a waste of time. |

 | I was playing a WSOP-Satellite-tourney at my sports-betting-site a few days ago and even made it to the final table (1st round of 2), when I found out, that it was for the event in New Orleans. Thank god, I lost my AA to a 77. What the hell do I want in New Orleans?

If I play a pot, most of the times I'm going to raise it and I will make always a standard size raise, 3-4 times the BB, regardless of what I'm holding (AA or 7-2 os) That seems to work very well for me.

BTW...poker isn't gambling, its a skill game. This has been proven in a court of law. Or are Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson etc just the luckiest guys in Vegas every year?

This was the first hour of a rebuy tourney....the aggression level was insane. People going all in with K8 offsuit and getting called by J9. I knew by going all in with these hands that I would likely get called and be about a 2.5-3 to 1 favorite, which is why I did it. It just sucks when you get sucked out on like that. Two tourneys in a row.

Agression, here is the correct play, no matter if you lose, because that's the only way to stack up and put up a fight with the huge stacks that your'll see when the rebuy period is over.

 | Play a QQ with a double Aop Q up and stroke it with a T. Once you've done that double slam it with a TNA and a quadrupale it with OPP...yea you know me. Easy enough?
