There definitely needs to be some sort of third party in the US. The problem is that all third parties in the US are radical, and another problem is the cash required to start a third party. If I could start a third party and get media attention, I would, but that is out of the question since the two big parties control everything.

Another problem with starting a third party in this country is that people aren't educated. I don't think people know that the top 1% of the country owns 33% of the nations wealth, and other amazing figures like that. They don't know this because the rich people of the United States (which I refer to as royalty) keep them ignornant to the facts. It is kind of gross when you think about it. There NEEDS to be change for anything to get done for the people.

Another problem with starting a third party in the United States is that the government itself is set up to keep you out. You need so many signatures, and so many this and that, that just keeps you out of the whole political process itself.

While it does seem impossible to create a successful third party in the US, it isn't. With technology such as the internet, I am sure it is possible to find some like minded people that can possibly spread the word of your party. Let it also be known that Ross Perot got 19% of the popular vote in the 1992 election, which is a HUGE amount of votes. He did this with mostly his own money, but if a third party does get a big following, it is highly possible to take some seats in the house or even the presidency.

Right now, in my opinion, is the best time to start a third party. The country is very divided, and there are a lot of issues that either party can't seem to figure out. They can't figure out these issues because it would mean reaching into the pocketbooks of their friends (the rich), so they make it look like it is impossible to resolve these important issues, when in reality it isn't all that hard. The American people deserve better than this.

Whew... after writing all of this I feel the need to make a third party.

This whole Social Security bullshit is just one big scare tactic. Not hard to figure out the government knows using fear is the best way to get their way these days. Health care is a much bigger problem that needs immediate attention yet you don't hear a damn thing about it. Why? Because its not profitable to change it, and people are making huge amounts of money at our expense. It is profitable for the heads of corporations and stockholders to change social security. If you think for one minute there won't be any money for people now in their 30's you're sadly mistaken. For one thing the biggest percentage of voters are people over 65, these are the people the politicians cater to more so than any other group, the money will come from somewhere. For another, if they stopped paying Social Security you would have 25% of the population either homeless or on the verge of being homeless, all elderly people. Not going to happen.

SSA is a big deal because they are trying to fucking trick us. they are making all this shit up and backing it by so called "flaws in the SSA system" that msut be fixed, when they are the ones who created the flaws and took the money out of it for other shit. you are also correct, our health care system is the worst managed and most costly for the average person than any other country. only in the U.S. will it cost you 20,000 dollars for a broken leg in the right situation. there of course will be money for people in there 30's, but they probably wont be getting it. the reason they are coming forward now is so when it gets to that poiint we are so numb from hearing it that we will jsut lay down and take it. we will ahve heard it so many times that no one will be shocked to find out the money is gone. its kind alike when you put a frog in a pot and turn the heat on gradually, he won't even know he is boiling or dead until it is too late. he doesn't feel the heat until his heart explodes. same concept. or the gas thing is the same. they gradually raise the price so you just keep accepting it. not more than a year and a half ago i was buying gas for 1.09 a gallon. now, in california its fucking 3.00 a gallon. they prepare you to accept their failure. look how the war has become desensitized and there are more troops dying now than were during the peak of the battle.

That is a damn good point. For some reason people do just lay down and take it when they are getting fucked. I think the powers that be have come to realize people are basically dumb fucks and with enough propaganda can pretty much get away with anything. Pretty sad.
