This whole Social Security bullshit is just one big scare tactic. Not hard to figure out the government knows using fear is the best way to get their way these days. Health care is a much bigger problem that needs immediate attention yet you don't hear a damn thing about it. Why? Because its not profitable to change it, and people are making huge amounts of money at our expense. It is profitable for the heads of corporations and stockholders to change social security. If you think for one minute there won't be any money for people now in their 30's you're sadly mistaken. For one thing the biggest percentage of voters are people over 65, these are the people the politicians cater to more so than any other group, the money will come from somewhere. For another, if they stopped paying Social Security you would have 25% of the population either homeless or on the verge of being homeless, all elderly people. Not going to happen.
