I'm just trying to stay slim and healthy. For me its a 20 minute walk at a reasonable pace (3.2 mph) 5 days a week on my treadmill. I do that late in the evening before bed while watching the news. For me that is the only time that works well since even a slight workout like that can leave you a bit sweaty and at that time I am taking a shower anyway. Most doctors that I have heard don't think you need much more than that and a reasonable diet to stay healthy and fairly fit.

I used to do the afternoon workout thing, but for the last 3 months I've been hitting the beach 4 mornings a week at 6am to lunge the stairs...all 50 of them. It's a KILLER workout for both cardio and to keep my butt sitting up high.
Plus it gives my entire day a major energy boost.

Hey Mr Izz... check out the body for life program... www.bodyforlife.com
I can tell you after years of working out that the best workout program is the one that you can stick with, no matter what it is! No matter how good the program, if you hate doing it, you are going to cut the workouts short and give up on it before you see results. So come up with a plan that you know you can stick with and complete for one month. Then up it a little each month after. As far as the best time of the day to work out; for someone just starting, I would say first thing in the morning. The only reason is because if you wait till the end of the day it's amazing how many excuses you will find to skip the workout. Once you see results it wont matter cause there will be no way you will skip a workout and lose what you have gained through your hard work. Just my lol, feel free to hit me up on ICQ if you have questions. |

I play golf 5-6 days a week, does that count? It?s a crazy work out that involves me eating everything I can daily in hopes that I can keep the weight on.
I saw something on TV the other day that said early/mid afternoon was the best time to work out. Your body is at its peak for the day and will perform its best.
