Actually my parents were both atheists when i was younger.
My dad became a JW when i was 7 and my mom became a Hare Krsna when i was 9 - they still live together, and it is a very strange combination.

I think the hardest part was that up until that part I'd had an almost 'normal childhood'
I think this is part of the reason why I had two nervous breakdowns by time I was 17 - my Dad always thought it was ME who was crazy! lol
I have nothing against either of their (or anyone else's) faith, it's just not for me.

BTW - Jehovah's witnesses don't believe in hell!

yeah but i think the people he listed should all get shot in the face. sure, we all discriminate whether we like it or not, but people who discriminate on that higher noticable level are just stupid. my friend is a hare krishna and hes the coolest / laid back / most intelligent person i know.

You see enough people of a certain characteristic (whether it be the clothes they wear, the colour of their skin, whatever) doing certain things, you expect it more and more as time goes on. You're showing predjudice towards these people, and you're discriminating against them for whatever reason (once again, the clothes they wear, colour of their skin, whatever).

Obviously, with different people, it's more extreme. Racists that think every black person is a thieving rapist, or that every kid wearing skate shoes is some sort of vandal.

But it happens to everyone..
