260 Km/h = 160 mph ...in 5.5 seconds that's totally obtainable, athough quick as can be. The latest issue of Motor Trend says the top fuel drag racing cars can reach 100 mph in 0.84 seconds. Tony Schemacher covered a quarter mile in 4.441 seconds starting at 0. My calculations say he reached 202.66 mph assuming constant acceleration. Top speed is 333.08 for the 2004 NHRA Top Fuel Championship-winning U.S. Army dragster. Cool.

My dad used to drag race, and while back then he was only in 2000-2500 hp cars, it certainly opens my eyes to the feasibility of Motor Trend's statement.

I was there for that. Starting Line... Got some real dope shots of the fuel rails. The army car ran into some problems though in earlier runs.
