Ron AKA 12Clicks is STEALING your money

12clicks runs a company called Standard Internet. And you've all seen me talk about them before. Well, here we go again.

Last night, a friend called me up and complained that everytime he uses the internet, his surfing is constantly interrupted by pop-up after pop-up. So, I offered to come over and help him remove the pesky adware from his computer.

Well, upon inspection, I found out that he had recently downloaded a "FREE" screensaver offered to him on a adpage. This screensaver (offered up by Standard Internet's popuptraffic service) comes complete with "ad-supported" software.

This "ad-supported" software then serves up ad after ad ....depending on what you enter in the browser address bar, and by what you search for...and simply by launching the browser.

Now, here's where it effects all of you. While I was there, and before I removed the offending piece of scumware from his system, I went to one of my own Adult Friend Finder ad pages. Well, lo and behold, what also launches?...a pop-up for Alt.com & passion.com...with someone else's affiliate codes in them. So, they go to my ad page...they are served up someone else's ads..and they get the commission.

Now, I can GUARANTEE that Ron will come to this post, and try to derail my claims by stating all sorts of unrelated comments..such as...go back to flipping burgers... call the FTC...etc.

But, the simple fact is, 12Clicks and his company are costing YOU money. So, I'm not going to respond to any of his comments. Instead, if you decide to post in this thread...I ask that you always add my text above as a quote, so that everyone that comes to this thread can see the original intent...and see that 12Clicks is STEALING your money.

And, no Ron, it doesn't matter that you are simply an "ad-broker". The fact is, 99% of the ads served up by your popuptraffic program are ad-supported scumware.

And, anyone that wants to see for themselves, feel free to put this little bit of code on a html page.

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" src="http://www.popuptraffic.com/assign.php?l=traffic"></script>
This comes straight from Standard Internet's popuptraffic affiliate page. This will launch the ads served by Standard Internet. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that no matter what 12Clicks/Ron says...his program is the number 1 provider of scumware on the net.

P.S. Don't download his spywareremover programs offered in the adpages. At least one of them is a known trojan...which goes on to install it's own little ad-supported software.

Before you post..please think! Do you really want to stand up for this piece of scum, while his programs are effectively STEALING the money right out of your pockets.

I agree and the legislation in the house and senate will drive the last of the spyware guys out of business.
(of course, the 49thparallels of the world will continue to chirp. His next argument will be something like I paid off congress and am still involved with spyware.

No need. Simply use the test link I provided above. Look at the ad pages it serves up. And then do your own search on google. You will find enough spyware/adware matches to satisfy even the most sceptical....

My claims are worthless..but the link doesn't lie.

no, sorry kiddie. you won't find any spyware. A good liar (which you are by the replies from the trolls here) mixes truth with lies to confuse ther stupid (as exampled by said trolls)
adware is not illegal, won't be illegal, and is used by hundreds of ad companies. In exchange for free software, the user agrees to view ads in lieu of payment. We show an ad, a surfer either agrees to download the software or he doesn't.
49thparallel would have you believe that spyware and adware are the same even after the ftc told him they aren't and to stop calling them about it.

a posters hobbies and character are very relevant.
but generally, I talk about them because I'm board. After providing the truth once, I don't feel the need to repeat it, I move on to the fun part of the program.

Ahhh...an admission! To clear the records, I did not call your ads "spyware". Instead I offered an accurate description of the actions of your "ad-supported" software. Call it what you want Ron....my description is still 100% accurate...

nope, sorry loser. detecting sites and throwing up someone else's affiliate code to steal from them is spyware we don't condone it or support it. It's illegal. If you've seen it in action, I suggest you contact the authorities.

Read my post.

Your programs pop-up competitive pop-ups. Yes, big difference in the legality...little difference in the end effect.

And again, I invite anyone to try the test link for themselves. Don't take my word for it. Do your own research on the ads offered up by Standard Internet. Again, my claims mean nothing..but real research doesn't lie.
