If you were building a Paysite program...

what would you offer your webmasters?

Here's my short list:

-- a site suite that has been traffic-tested and validated for at least 6 months

-- site tours, members' areas, and content that have gone through several generations of client feedback, redefinition, and statistical analysis

-- an affiliate tracking system that allows for BYOTs/Tour modification

-- traffic tracking system that filters traffic info based on source and tours

-- at least 65% partnership

-- adding community and a high level of interactivity to the member's area

Sounds solid but I think you might want to rethink the whole BYOT option. It didn't work out well for ARS v1.0

Testing means making sure the tours convert with inhouse generated traffic. Also, setting up focus groups/feedback strategies with actual surfers of the site. Maybe even running updates through a email group/forum of niche afficionados.

Instead of daily cash payouts via courier, how about advances against future signups.

Go for it, bro. Discuss away.

One great thing about BYOT is that it addresses a key issue that many programs seem to miss--who's in a better position to know the proclivities/tendencies of a webmaster's traffic? the sponsor or the webmaster sending the traffic? If it's the latter, then why not give the latter some tools to sculpt the marketing materials to the psychological landscape of his surfers?

Dedicated support staff, that is willing to go out of their way to arrange private deals (better payouts for high volume, free dedicated hosting and content for experienced gallery submitters) instead of the usual one-fits-all approach.

An idea that worked for me..

More than testing the site... A lot of pre launch promotion...

I did a hell of a lot for Sahara Gets Dirty, starting 2 months before the site was launched. The first 2 sign up's came within 30 mins of the launch and it's carried on from there..

You will also need a lot of promotional material for affiliates, not that many of them will use it, as 99% are too damn lazy and will just add a link on a TGP or links site to your FHG etc. I wonder how many would go for BYOT if they can't even bother to use a banner...

Doesnt matter.
You are still going to be feeding it s.e, tgp, mail, ll, whatever traffic for 6months.

Doesnt matter if you genrate it or 1000 affiliates.

BTW answer your ICQ i need a quote for a small job.

Instant payout, that's interesting.

Forecasting system, I think I've seen this before.

There's many private free hosting deals. Maybe it's a better idea for the sponsor to directly approach affiliates that are pushing a lot of hits and give them free hosting.

the bannerless free hosting that many sponsors provide is practically worthless (for TGP / MGP submitting). Private dedicated hosting deals is the wtg.

true, we dont do that as of now, mainly because ive said yes to one he ripped a site and hosted everything that was illegal on our server... but for a serious affiliate a few extra giga is np at all

at least 65% partnership
I wouldent trust a spononor who offerd this right at the start. To me this this is only offerd for long term affilates with proven track record. Spells disaater waiting to happen you will have no real cash to update content Thus killing rebills and hurting my income more than say the normal 50%

We normally pay 50% and on promoi's like now 99% etc. Anyway, you said 65%, you mean CLEAN 65%? or 65 MINUS processor fees?

Because I once tried a so called 65% program, and I found out I got even less then 50% in cash!

As a person who loves these and will throw extra traffic to get a ipod or some other item I could just buy. Give them items and make sure you have a few gift certificates. Travel is a horrible thing as people suck to deal with. Just let them get stuff and be done with it. The gift certificates will reduce the noise about what you do and do not offer.

Contests are better for trips as you only have to please one person or set of people.

$5 Submissions - I have many more idea to start a solid program with many features
that some of the big boys dont even have, such as the ones I posted above for ya.

To answer your questions if they where questions.. Instant payout can be done via
many methods, If not instant then Daily for sure, ex: ePassporte and Paypal -

For the forcasting feature it would basically need at least 2 pay periods to read your
previous trends, show you what sites convert Best at what Hour, thats right NOT
day but Hour, so you know that Gay makes more sales at night, and Ebony more at
the day time.

ICQ me if you are actually going to start on something like this, I can be a big asset
to any company just starting or already in progress, all experience is not assumption
based, strictly based on experience. I have exhibited at the shows and ran my own
affiliate program since 96" -
