TGP vs TGP2 - Let's end this discussion now
Open for debate, but I get a lot of flack now from newbies about this TGP2 stuff.
Here's my thoughts on it. I really don't belive TGP2s sell any better for anything other than Pic paysites. Why would big penis ads, dating services, evidence eliminator, CDs, phermones, or the like sell better than TGPs or any other site? I will agree that pic paysites would sell better on TGP2s, but that's about all. Problem is, time is money and it all comes down to traffic. TGP2s are a very small segment of the free porn marketplace. VERY SMALL. Ok - this might might be unfortunate but it's reality. Once a surfer finds a regular TGP they arn't comming back to a TGP2. Bookmark lost and removed. I've heard people say TGP2s do 10X what TGPs do. BULLSHIT. That's just becasue these people dn't know how to make an effective TGP gallery. I will admite though, that for selling Pic Paysites a TGP2 would sell about 3-5X as well. Now lets do a little math there. There are very very few TGP2s with over 10K uniques/day. There might be one or two but that's like saying everyone has the traffic of theHun in TGP. There's a reasonable amout of them with 5k real traffic that isn't being fed to them from TGPs (casue if it is those surfers will just click out and not waste their time as they know where the 'real' goods are) so lets be generous and reasonable and say TGP2 is 5X better. That means that the 5k sites are equivalent to 25K TGPs. Now seriously, anyone doing TGP submissions nowadays looks for TGPs with 100K+/day mostly becasue there are dozens and dozens of them out there. (sure some smaller TGPs do well for gallery traffic due to less links on them and such, but I'm generalizing here.) Now a newbie will probally use a free host or max out their dialup free website option so bandwidth is out of the equation. I break it down to time invested as a gallery maker. TGP2 5k=25K /day avergae gallery submitted to. TGP 100K+/day average gallery submitted to. That means that even though you are doing better ratios, you still need the TRAFFIC to make any real money. TGPs will pay out WAY better than TGP2s for a well made gallery designed to sell because they get WAY WAY more traffic. I suppose that's the key though, designig a gallery to sell is a lot different than just designing a gallery. Most people just don't get that point. It takes time to make galleries. Time is money. And that equation should only hold true if you're selling a pic paysite. Personally I find it funny how people will spend more time thinking about ways to get out of doing the work than just doing the work and will try and justify it any way they can in their head. Sleazydream, have you ever visited a TGP2 board?
Did you notice that a lot of sponsors offer up to 33% more payout to TGP2 site owners and gallerymakers? Not for nothing, it has great potential, ppl like you are just trying to put down our efforts, just like the hackers trying to infringe our pages, TGP1 siteowners emailing us, like they are regular surfers asking for more pics etcetera... too funny to mention. If it fails, we can change our rules and we could continue as TGP1, if it doesn't, we are all happy with having tried something else than FREE porn. |

I think it all boils down to your marketing skills......... If you are a good marketer then it doesnat matter tgp or tgp2 you will make sales.... I started two tgp2's to test out and to be honest I make more off of juicylinks.com and just submitting galleries. The idea behind tgp2 is a good one but when you have sites feeding it tgp and crap traffic that defeats the whole purpose. With a little refinement and some time it might work.. Also you gotta feed it internet newbie traffic thats has no clue who thehun or sleazy or zilla is... correct?? Just my 2 cents |

end in the end I think nobody REALLY knows why surfers sign up for paysites...

TGP2 is one of the smartest ideas to appear for a long time but this won?t become apparent to everyone for some time yet. The next smart move would be for TGP to set its max number of pics at 16. What I find really amusing and off topic is how the majority of TGP?s carrying these huge amounts of traffic don?t diversify their marketing, its almost as though they think a visitors credit cards can only pay for porn. I notice a few have got smart recently, realising the large number of freeloader 18-24 year olds can be distracted into pulling out the plastic. Yep, these guys own Cars Bikes Stereos and all sorts of shit that need accessories. There are lots of companies that don?t want to associate themselves with porn in public but what goes on behind closed doors is another matter.

Ah well Susan the tgp guys for the most part would sooner make people put 16 more pics on each gallery than limit them to 16 total.
Can't keep those counter hit stats up high enough and still make money it seems. |

TGP2 = The idea of having sites with 1mil uniques a day posting galleries with 5 pics cutting your bandwidth in half and making 2x as much for the site & gallery maker. Might just be me, but I love the idea of making more and spending less...if others don't, fuck 'em...I'll take sleazy's share.

Well in this case the TGP2 guys didn't start the discussion but we sure as hell will join in
My gues is that sleazy is having trouble with TGP2(perhaps more webmasters are turning towards TGP2 then we know at this point?) Therefor he chose to try to bash it. I'll say it one more time: As long as I can make $ 100 a day from a 5 pic gallery with only 2k of uniques it has to be a good thing Now I am not "trying hard to convince others of my way of doing bizz" but I am stating facts. TGP2 works and the more webmasters that see it will use it and Ultimately it will create a better bizz enviroment for all gallerybuilders, just give it time. Hmm I have both a tgp1 and a tgp2 I must say that my conversions on tgp2 are higher.Shame it gets like 3 sales a week thought.I dont bother to make tgp2 galleries at the moment because I dont have the time. TGP1 posting still makes me a few extra K a month with only about 4 to 5 galleries a weeks so Ill stick with that till tgp2 gets some traffic. Its a shame that all the tgp2 webmaster seem to heading down the same path as tgp1 though. Where new new ground could have been broken and new idea's fluish they chose to stick ther heads up there ass and go with the current formula. I was hopeing for something more.
