Ok - this should sumerize my point for all you DoH Dohs that just cann't seem to get the traffic idea straight. Here;s the Premier TGP2 counter.

Seems the total of ALL the TGP2 sites is about 170,000 hits/day. Even if TGP2 is 10X more profitable you would make more money using a free host and getting ONE gallery on the hun insted of poating to EVERY TGP2 on this counter list casue thehun has MORE than 10X the entire TGP2 industry. and then you can go and post to worldsex, al4a, JJJ, easypic, absloye series, mature post, hardcore junky, elephant list etc and make some real coin instead of bragging about how your ratios are better.

In other words you could make almost as much on one TGP post to the hun as dozens of posts to TGP2s - but then that's it cause there ARE no more TGP2s. TGPs with high traffic are almost endless thus so is the earning potential.
Maybe in the future there'll be coin in TGP2, not nothing substaintial is there today.

Let me know when TGP2 has 1 million uiges between all their sites combined. Anyone that thinkis that TGP2 is a new idea has not been around very long.

TGP2 is not new, it is what TGP first started out as. However, webmasters abused it with JAVA tricks, redirections, consoles, and every trick under the sun which is why TGPs have the rules they do today.

I remember when thehun started. His site was not like it is today, ask him. Back before there was no free porn, then you started seeing pic posts, then tgps and free sites, eventually surfers figured out they could go to sites like thehun and adultbuffet and not buy memberships anywhere.

I could submit 10 different domains to adultbuffet and get 80k uniques a day on 5 or 6 of them and 20-30k on the others, but the traffic was for shit, so 15 minutes after they updated, we would redirect for 30 minutes then an hour later do it again and do this routine for a week, because that site that got 80k on day one, would still get 20k a week later.

Well, buf father did not like that much so he made rules that did not exist the day before, and it was not just him, or me, it was everyone, on both sides. Now TGP is what it is, and we have people coming up with TGP2, thinking they are being innovative. Sorry, do not know how to break it to you, but you are just reinventing the wheel.

Oh yeah, there is no such thing as TGP1.

actually kimmykim, I think you will find many that will take issue with you as to whether or not Gates made it better. Bigger yes, better . . . matter of opinion I guess.

To tell you the truth, I have no problem with seeing TGP2 succeed, my only point is that TGP2 is not new, there is nothing new about it.

Do you think Gates would have been nearly as successful if he just re-wrote DOS? Maybe called it DOS2? I do not.

I am not close minded, I am a realist. One of my favorite sayings is "Those that fail to remember history, are doomed to repeat it." I am only pointing out that TGP2 is what TGP first started out as.

The idea that their target market is the newbie surfer is laughable. Even newbie surfers I have spoken to know of thehun, and Richards-Realm. I have monitored search engine requests and seen these keywords used.

Besides, a newbie surfer is probably going to use a search engine to find his porn, if no one has already told him where to go. How many TGP2 sites do you figure will show up on the first 3 pages of a SE?

I think there is a problem when a TGP2 site accepts TGP galleries, or when someone with a TGP2 gallery wants to get listed on a standard TGP. Or better yet, when someone makes a TGP2 gallery, but still insists on those 5 clickable thumbs showing as much pink as they can fit into the lens, and this has been the trend I have noticed.

There is no need for TGP2, if everyone would stop showing hardcore content for free, that is where your problem lies.

Your little example of TGPs and how much more you make with them is flawed at best:

1 The bandwidth costs are much higher
2 More content used is more money spent on content
3 The productivity on TGP's is much lower

Posting to 20 TGP2's equals posting to 50 TGP's moneywise

And thats not from my mind those are facts after doing TGP2 galleries since the day it started.

Baddog I don't care if it's new or not it is a good thing and therefor I support it. And IMHO any webmaster with half a brain that would like to see a bang for his buck should do the same.

For the record I was allready a webmaster when The Hun started and he started by linking complete directories not 5 pic galleries. Just so you have your facts straight

No shit? You missed my point by a mile. My point, I will say it slow this time, when TGP first started there were no rules. No rules at all. You could have thumbs go to html pages with ads above and below the full-size pic, and you could link the full size pic to a sponsor if you wanted.

The rules that came about and caused the TGP evolution to what TGPs are today are due to the fact that too many people abused they system to try and take advantage of the huge traffic.

Of course, huge traffic will probably never become an issue with TGP2, but I do truly wish you all the luck in the world.

Personally, I would like to see something like CDA II to become law, where free porn became impossible to find like it was back in the day. Will not happen though, because lawmakers do not know shit about how to write a law that would be Constitutional, they go to over-board. The only way to get the net rid of free porn is for us to do it ourselves.

First off, anything that reduces the amount of free porn on the open market is a good thing for everyone, not just for TGP2 people.

Webmasters complain about shitty conversion ratios and want to blame it on everything under the sun EXCEPT for the fact that the average surfer who's been around longer than a week or two can go and find as much free stuff as he'd find in the best paysite. Put a stop to it and you'll see people start reading the lines on their sponsor checks instead of hit counter stats to see where they stand.

As for the cool clique that wants to denigrate and belittle the remainder of the board, thats a whole other story.

Sleazy .. I'm not saying that you can make more in TGP2 than TGP today.

I will say this ..someone new to the industry though would probably make more in TGP2 than TGP.

Given the agreed upon 10x factor, a new TGP webmaster is better off starting a TGP2 than a TGP. They will get to 5k TGP traffic faster than 50k TGP2 traffic and make the same amount of money. Wiser to start a TGP2 site than a TGP site. In fact, I think starting a TGP2 itself is one of the best things you can do if you are new to this industry today.

The TGP owner's pursuit of very high volume low profit margins can create fair revenue for a very large TGP. It generates very little revenue for smaller TGPs. In addition, TGP rules are excessively tight for gallery makers.

Keep giving away 20,000 free hardcore pics and free movies and eventually profits will be so small that even only the top 30 site owners will be able to make a living from it.
It's a great model for someone with 500k hits/day. It's NOT that great of a living for someone with only 100k.

New to the industry? Stumbling around? Pay for a good script and start a TGP2.

So very true. It might hurt in the short term but long run I'd be willing to bet the results would be conversions getting much much better.

Smart webmasters are going to go where they can make the most money, bottom line.

The not so smart ones wont be here next year because they didn't make any money, as evidenced by the enormous attrition in this industry.

I can count on one hand the number of people that were new with me and are still around. Alot of people have been around 4,5,6 years but in the last three more have fallen off than have stayed and done well. Most of the people who have been around that long are running paysites, mailers, that sort of business.

I think that TGPs that are based on traffic trades (like mine) can do just fine with a limit on pics of 16. Hell, it would just make my blind links look that much better. (they'd all say 16+ pics!) What is the difference? We're jerking them around by the 4th - 5th link they click anyway. Most of the pages I link are 20 pics or less. At least 50% of my links are 15-16 pic galleries. I don't buy into more pics=more traffic. Not these days. It's all about site design, traffic script, and server speed. If you build a page that generates clicks and uses a good script, you have traffic.

But TGPs that are powered by bookmarkers, I can't comment on. I never had one LOL
