I think galleries to upsell in the members area is okay. And having some links on a friends page is okay. However thumbs on the actual tour isn't that cool (I didn't look at her site though, I'm just stating my opinion in the matter)

I had no clue who she was, she made a comment about us in another thread so I went to her site out of curiosity, I looked at about two pages, had enough and clicked out, then I got a pop up, with my thumbs on it, saying something like join now to see it, so I did

Now the page is gone, well I cant find it and the content has been deleted,

This is totally a touchy subject, and it does happen. I feel giving free content is ok to do for the use of upsells, but most people do and will abuse it.

Wouldn't one idea to have a limit on the amount of content used compared to the amount of links to the content.

What I mean is say there must be at least one link to said site for every 10 pictures used. The links must be spread out in a way to make it obvious that it is from a certain site.

Many programs give away content in bulk loads so it makes it easy for someone to say fuck it and use more then what should be an alloted amount.

Using pix in tours, joins pages and etc is just wrong. Content is very cheap these days and you can purchase a set or two to use for less then a join.

If she had nothing to hide, she would have made the link to your site work and keep everything the same. Pulling down the content shows guilt unless you and her made an agreement which appears in this thread did not happen.

Sorry, but if a program changes their linking code, it only makes sense to grandfather the old codes. I've got sponsor content from dozens of sites used as upsells in paysites, AVS, free sites etc. Changing them all everytime a model decides to jump ship isn't practical if the link was hard coded.

Ivy put up free content given to affiliates. She posted the banner & link that was correct at the time. If anybody is getting screwed here, isn't it Ivy? Her members are now being sent where? Your 404?

For the people complaining about upsells in the members area...ya'll should really try joining some of the paysites you promote. How do you think they're paying $35 on a $2.95 trial???

Ahhh...that's another story. Displaying other content on the tour without a link or "content provided by:" is likely a clear cut TOS violation, not to mention rather misleading for the surfers.

Now let's talk about mediumpimpin. Not just the user on GFY, the whole program. Hardly ones to be talkin about treating affiliates fairly. That's like in changing no exit links without notice to the affiliate to two exit consoles. Affiliates bandwidth. Affiliates traffic. Either affiliates or MPs content. No compensation to the affiliate for the exits.

That's all right cause MP supplied the banners and the sites convert well (1:6000+ for TGP traffic) and they are xselling unknown sites like ND. Not anything a typical affilate would handle.

Guess it's there right to add exits if they want. That's why a TGP site has to be checkin galleries including links to big sponsors all the time.

Then there is the polite (cough) one line email from support in reponse to questions about exits and asking for help in promoting MP.

Ivy called it when she said an email or ICQ would be more pro. She'd be right.

For the record, Ivy responds to affiliate emails questions, even dumb ones and does it with respect.

MPs content is quailty, I'll give ya that. That means someone is going to steal it. Private Ivy on purpose? Wouldn't believe it for a second.

I started checking some of my sponsors by doing just that. Some real shocks on how some sponsors treat their members. You'd epect no exits etc. Or I did. I'd be wrong.

It's not in me to rip a sponsor by violation of a TOS and spending the $2.95 to get $35. So fairly checking sponsors can get expensive for the little guy.

you know PL, I would have agreed with you except for one thing.. using the content to design her tour.. that is so against the rules for any free content..

I think Private Ivy needs to admit what she did and apologize ... the way she's handling this is really wrong in my opinion, I mean does she think if she doesn't respond that this thread will just go away and no one will remember it?

Okay on topic... glad you reposted about the images sorry you missed the first time... facts are facts...

Second... not to start shit but this is not the place nor the time to get into the whole exits thing. But so you know, we have removed exits we did realize that some webmasters were unhappy with them so we acted on it, I never got an email from you or any contact for that matter so I can not speak for Kevin (Medium Pimpin) and what yourself and Kevin have discussed all but again they have been removed and I will apologize for any miscommunication that has happened in the past. If there is any way we can gain you back as a webmaster or anything we can do to please you contact me and let?s talk!

We all know programs will do things that will not make all their webmasters happy and what we did was one of them but we have acted on it and resolved the issue. So with that like I have mentioned I would like to burry it with you also, put it behind us... Seems stupid to sit here and dwell on it?

Your kidding right? How is Ivy getting screwed and who screwed her members besides herself? If she would have done the right thing and purchased content to fill her members area, there wouldn't be an issue at all. She tried to get away with using as much free content as she could and then charged her members to see it. Looks to me like she screwed hereslf and her members.

Not sure how I could be acting like a kid as you stated, because I made one post in this thread that basically explained everything and I didn't see a need to post anything further.

I had active links to MP in all the galleries they provided to me and I have now pulled them down , so end of story on that. ( notice the red x's on their screen caps...those were active links )

As for the page I had on my site that showed small thumbnails of numerous "girlfriends" that I featured in the members area to give them an idea of who was inside, it honestly never ocurred to me that it was considered "stealing" . I had always had that page, since back in 2002 and I'm sure I got the idea from other sites that were doing the same, many of which used my own image and name and I never thought twice about it because I knew they were promoting me in their members area.

So many single model sites use thumbnails on their update pages , etc. to show when they add a new girlfriend feature ( girlfriend gallery exchanges,etc.) and until this thread I never thought anything about it.

I have pulled that page down, because I do understand the point that was made on that.

I don't see any need to stay here and dwell on this issue and reply to every accusation or hate post ? If that makes me childish, then I guess I'm childish.

I stand behind my statement that if there was an issue, I should have been contacted via email or ICQ and it would have been handled promptly. I understand bringing drama to the boards as a last result , etc. and this was not the case.

I feel giving free content is ok to do for the use of upsells, but most people do and will abuse it. Wouldn't one idea to have a limit on the amount of content used compared to the amount of links to the content. What I mean is say there must be at least one link to said site for every 10 pictures used. The links must be spread out in a way to make it obvious that it is from a certain site. Many programs give away content in bulk loads so it makes it easy for someone to say fuck it and use more then what should be an alloted amount. Using pix in tours, joins pages and etc is just wrong. Content is very cheap these days and you can purchase a set or two to use for less then a join.

I've got sponsor content from dozens of sites used as upsells in paysites, AVS, free sites etc. Changing them all everytime a model decides to jump ship isn't practical if the link was hard coded. Ivy put up free content given to affiliates. She posted the banner & link that was correct at the time. If anybody is getting screwed here, isn't it Ivy? Her members are now being sent where? Your 404? For the people complaining about upsells in the members area...ya'll should really try joining some of the paysites you promote. Then Rictor sites and links another webmaster board. Guess a noob still and isn't familar with GFY rules. Guess he's all class? Now let's talk about mediumpimpin. Not just the user on GFY, the whole program. Hardly ones to be talkin about treating affiliates fairly. That's like in changing no exit links without notice to the affiliate to two exit consoles. Affiliates bandwidth. Affiliates traffic. Either affiliates or MPs content. No compensation to the affiliate for the exits. That's all right cause MP supplied the banners and the sites convert well (1:6000+ for TGP traffic) and they are xselling unknown sites like ND. Not anything a typical affilate would handle. Guess it's there right to add exits if they want. That's why a TGP site has to be checkin galleries including links to big sponsors all the time. Then there is the polite (cough) one line email from support in reponse to questions about exits and asking for help in promoting MP. Ivy called it when she said an email or ICQ would be more pro. She'd be right. For the record, Ivy responds to affiliate emails questions, even dumb ones and does it with respect. MPs content is quailty, I'll give ya that. That means someone is going to steal it. Private Ivy on purpose? Wouldn't believe it for a second.
