Another site takes our free webmaster content, now we give full sets so you can make more TGP gallery's with them.

This person adds them to her members area and says join now to see all, well I did and damn she has the full complete sets up, and the up sell banner is dead from the old mpa2 days.

Now other content from other programs is in there also, but I see fresh links from this month in there, were ours are all dead.

Is this common practice to use all the promo, as a reason to join their site?"

Wasnt there an issue with one of her models a while back that claimed she never got her cash.

she obviously had that content their to generate sales, you changed your linking codes and she didn't , just inform her to change them and be done with it hater

So it's cool to use full sets of say 100 pics a set, multiple sets for content for your paysite as long as you throw up a banner? I could understand maybe a gallery or two of free content in your members area advertising another site.

Are there are a lot of people here that run paysites that are made up of content sets from other paysites and that use that content as an advertising point in their paysite tour?

I think that's the main issue here. PI is using ALL their content to fill up her members area and simply putting up one text link or banner link back to that sponsor.

spend some time writing very very clear terms and conditions / AUP for the use of that content perhaps? an alternative would be to only allow access to that content by request or something, so you only give it to webmasters who you trust or you agree with how they say they will use it.. obviously neither is perfect but at least in this case it would be very clear that they are in the wrong

typically upsells inside the site aren't credited to affiliates...only things on the tour are credited...that is pretty standard

Its not standard, there are many programs out there that dont try and upsell, alot of programs try to keep members. I dont have any upsells neither do the sponsors I promote

i don't have upsells, but I am pretty sure most of the single girl sites out there that do have them don't credit the affiliate for them...which is a standard thing to do...

if I had dvdsforabuck, how would I credit a ccbill affiliate with a dvd that was sold through my members area?

i didn't say upsells were standard, i just said crediting affiliates for upsells int he members area is not common

I wouldnt promote a program that I know is filling up their site with others content in an atempt to upsell. If I get a sign up I like to know that the site doesnt want the member to join else where, I like them to try and keep them as a member of the site that I sent them to.

As for the upsells.. most any other paysite will have a link to another site etc but when using contnet in solo teen sites for example... they will use a whole set pointing to another site where they did a lesbian scene together or just use a gallery where its a small sample of pics.. for someone who we would assume is smart enough to get the big picture, takes a WHOLE set of 50+ pictures that are linked to FULL SIZE images and we get a broken banner at the BOTTOM of it all?? like come on!

oh no, i agree...i think that is kind of fucked up...i never even thought about taking MP and throwing full sets into our paysite with just a banner, until now...but I still won't do that, cause I don't feel like it is the right thing to do...

as for things like penis enlargers and dvds, those are great upsells, but I think it is rather silly to send someone in your paysite to ANOTHER paysite....kind of defeats the purpose of making money and it will piss a lot of affiliates off...

IN the members area of our site we have a " Friends " section. Inside there we have done something very similar to what PI has done except that we check to make sure that the links to the aff programs are working. With no more than 10 to 15 photos of each set, and no hard core stuff. Infact we prefer just topless with flash of pussy.

That way we convert thes sales at 1 in 50 and 1 in 70 or so. These are people that have already signed up to our site, so they are willing to sign up to someone elses.

But We DO NOT advertise the " Friends " on the tour pages.

But we have always been good with our content we have some of the best so we dont kill it by resizing it and watermarking it and we have a ton of issues with stolen contnet and russians and now stupid things like this from people who again we would assume knows better...

Things like this are going to make us want to change and just fall into the shoadows of everyone eles with small shitty content big watermarks and stupid shit, its really a shame...

You do realize that your MP thread is going to be extremely bias, while a thread here at GFY is going to be a bit less bias since nobody is in love with MP or Ivy.

This issue should have been taken up with Ivy privately. If you don't have a TOS that forbids actions like this, make one. If Ivy's members section is so horrible that she relies on sponsor content, thats her problem.

THIS would be the way to do it if you were going to do it..

PI on the other hand is just using it for her advantage with tons of full sets! Sure her members and webmasters might be happy if the site rebills but we get the shit stick!

Isnt it standard that you can only use content to promote the site who owns the content? Id be suprised if this wasnt in there TOC's

Maybe the broken link back to the sponsor was a mistake? maybe they got all the other links right but this one was a mistake?

If I was the sponsor I would think that maybe it wasnt, but would have also first taken it up with Private Ivy

No hes saying someone using all his content WITHOUT a correct link back is the same.

Using someone elses content for your members area without a link back is the same.

was the broken banner link her fault or yours because you changed your codes and she didnt update? im sure either way the link isnt broken on purpose. dont you think it would have been more professional to ask her to fix the link?
