Costa Rica! I have been planning on a move there for over a year.

I agree with AnalProbe, I have a cohort that was living on St. Vincent and was looking at some pretty heavy charges over his island girlfriend, it took some pretty dodgy tactics to get him out of the klink and off the island.

Well it's not warm and not tax-free, but US dollars will go a long way in Russia.

I was there this Summer and the best apartment in Kazan will set you back about $250 US/month. If you smoke, about $0.50/pack. Drinks? Forget about it.

Corruption? Rampant.
Streets? Reinforce your shocks.
Hot water? Learn to enjoy cold showers.
Customer service? Unheard of.

But ...

Women? Awesome.
Night life? Very good, but don't expect much in terms of decor.
Traveling? You are closer by air to anywhere in Europe with direct flights from the major cities.

Oh, did I mention the women?

Buy gold- its the best currency- or only accept payment in gold.
