You are Dutch... Check out the lovely Dutch colony of St Maarten. The weather is great, the Dollar is the currency of choice, no crime, blah blah blah. If you want to go back to Europe for a little while, drive to the French side of the island. They speak mostly French, charge in Euros, and the place is dirty (JUST LIKE EUROPE!). Then when you are done, you drive back to the Dutch side, and forget all about the Euro trash.

The place rocks.

A good friend of mine has been living and running a business out of Costa Rica for 3 years now, every 90 days he takes a trip someplace closeby. Cheap and easy to visit Panama, Nicaragua, the Dominicon Republic, etc, and you only have to be gone 3 days for customs to be satisfied and issue you a new tourist visa.
