Bush is killing civilians faster than Saddam did.

Is that part of the Iraqi Freedom thing? Just eliminate everybody?

Iraq is a total shithole now. Way more unlivable than it was before. It will take ages to rebuild the country. Billions dollars extra will be needed.

And this all because of weapons of md. that were never found and most likely never made.

Totally insane.

This is most likely the most useless war ever.

Lets say it all together...

Oiiiilllllllll

The amount of Oil in Iraq is staggering. And, at current estimates, we will run out of oil by the year 2040 or something like that.

So, we now control more oil.

the world is better off without Saddam ....

the people of Iraq are NOT causing a great resistance , foreign terrorists are......

dunno if anyone remembers but when Bagdad came in hands of American Troops there were celebrations in the centre of Bagdad, thousands of people gathered in the streets , statues of Saddam were destroyed , ect

this war overall on the long term was a VERY good thing both for the world and for the Iraqi people

each year thousands of children died because of the UN sanctions , now that Saddam is gone those sanctions no longer exist and the rebuild can start once all FOREIGN TERRORIST who for some reason love killing or at least trying to kill American Troops have been either captured or killed

So you are happy to think the US stole the oil by the use of military force?

But I doubt if the US will be running Iraq in 5 years time, the Mullahs will and then you can hope they still want to sell oil to you.

I didn't say I was happy about it, but its the facts.

And whoever runs it, we will still have a hand in that oil. I guarantee that. You don't really think well just up and hand over the country without locking in oil deals.

not really ...... they based everything on the info gathered by intelligence , .. if later that info appears false the invaders cannot be blamed for this , ... only if they KNEW the info was false you have a valid point ...

Total and complete bullshit. The Iraqi people are resisting an invasion of their country.

That was completely staged propaganda and everyone knows it. Don't tell me you still believed Bush when he said the Iraqi's would welcome us with open arms. If Saddam was included in their election he would most likely win.

Yep, lying to invade a country is always a good thing.

The sanctions were more like US sanctions. It was the sanctions that were responsible for the deaths of millions. It was the sanctions that turned Iraq from a modern society to a less than a third world country.

The Muslims have always killed their own people to get "sympathy" from stupid reporters in the west. Palestinians are putting children in the battle line instead of hiding them in a cellar as normal caring people do. In Algeria most victims from the Muslim attacks was and is still, their own people. Iranian army forced children to clear minefields. The Russians at least used pigs....
In Iraq they (the Muslims) are murdering like hell, and you blame USA!! Can't believe it! A free election is around the corner, if the terrorist is liked by the people in Iraq, why do they not wait until the election to get into power? Can you figure out why! I can. They know to well they are not liked by the people and try to make as much trouble as possible to stop a democracy in Iraq. And they succeeds, just look at this board.

Guess the sanction's main aim was buying Iraq oil at really LOW prices in exchange for low quality food. We could only imagine how many billions had US earned on the oil, and how many were earned by companies contracted by the "oil in exchange for provisions" program.
It's all about money, not about politics

I watched Full metal jacket a few days back and it made me wonder if movies of this war is made in a few decades.

I bet their feel would be a lot similar to vietnam movies.

come on, get real

what terrorists crap? Who ever is against the american benefits is called terrorist. During the greek dictatorship (1967-1974) those that were against the military authorities in greece were called terorrist and anarchist by the US media and govt. At least now with the plethora of news sources you should have more realistic view of things.

Iraq was attacked and invaded. Period. Iraqis have every right to fight and calling them terrorists shows ignorance.

this reply shows ignorance ...

you = sheep

you don't bother to do research , you just take over ALL the ideas of anti Bush supporters / anti War supporters

The Iraqi people as a whole is not doing the resistance , some are of course , but most are foreigner , foreigners that came to Iraq to help out their 'fellow muslim' . Same thing happened in Afghanistan when Russia invaded them. And this will happen every time a country invades a muslim country.

One thing is true though more and more Iraqis are joinging these foreign terrorist in their battle for obvious reasons ( family killed by american troops , .... ) BUT the persons LEADING the resistance are NOT Iraqis !! And that is what it is all about in war LEADERSHIP .

These foreigners came to Iraq with one mindset , and that is to kill americans . That is what they do, that is what they love.

I hope this war turns into an absolute nightmare for the USA, so much so that it leaves permanent psychological scars on the American psyche. Like Vietnam, only worse.

Maybe then the world will finally see a little less war.

Poor planning, air strikes by coalition forces and a "climate of violence" have led to more than 100,000 extra deaths in Iraq, scientists claim.

you don't bother to do research , you just take over ALL the ideas of anti Bush supporters / anti War supporters

For once you are right...

Foreigners are causing this non-stop wars... about 12000 of them un Falllujah and another 130 000 thru Iraq:

Extent of Foreign Fighters in Iraqi Insurgency
May Be Less than Often Portrayed
By Jim Krane
Associated Press
May 3, 2004

U.S. officials have for months publicly promoted the notion that foreign fighters and terrorists are playing a major role in the anti-American insurgency in Fallujah and the rest of Iraq. By blaming foreigners, U.S. authorities hope to quash the idea that Iraqis are rising up against military occupation and frame the conflict as part of the wider war on terror. However, foreigners play a tiny role in Iraq's insurgency, many military experts say.

In Fallujah, U.S. military leaders say around 90 percent of the 1,000 or more fighters battling the Marines are Iraqis. To date, there have been no confirmed U.S. captures of foreign fighters in Fallujah - although a handful of suspects have been arrested. Those who have spent time inside Fallujah have described a city consumed with the fight - fathers and sons fighting for the local mujahedeen and wives and daughters cooking and caring for the wounded. "The whole city supports this jihad," said Houssam Ali Ahmed, 53, a Fallujah resident who fled to Baghdad when his neighborhood was caught in the fighting. "The people of Fallujah are fighting to defend their homes. We are Muslim mujahedeen fighting a holy war."

This was in May, when the administration was claiming the reviolt was only fooreigners, as you say.

So before telling others that they have no information or no research.... you should do a bit yourself ...
This way you would look less of an idiot as you di now...

Now go listen to more propaganda and come spit it back out as a good little american punk.

In response to the thread title...good...as it is civilians in Iraq that are opposing the interim Iraqi Government and the Coalition forces. The Iraqi military was defeated in three weeks...thus it is not military forces that the Coalition forces are engaged with.
