I know the feeling Mike, I had braces when I was in college. I had the clear ones with the wire band and they were not that bad

The most important thing is to keep wearing your retainer afterwards so that it is not all for nothing.

yea, I hear ya... I can't even think about a retainer.. They told me 20-24 months on braces.. how long do you have to wear the retainer?

Year 1 after removing the braces, 24/7, every day.
Year 2-3 (for me right now), nightly.
After that you wind down to about 1 day per month (for as long as you have teeth).

it is not so bad. it really does not take away from your looks, but they are a pain in the ass.

My mom use to work for an orthodontist. I had metal ones, then clear ones (they turned yellow). I had pink ones for a while. then they used me as a test case for putting braces on the inside of the mouth...I ripped the shit out of my tounge but it was not too bad. You talk funny with them on the inside. Not sure if they even do this. After all that I was always losing my retainer and just stopped wearing it so i needed to get my front two teeth bonded cause the teeth shifted and I had a big space!!! So if you decide, make sure you where your retainer after

I'm almost 43 and after dealing with the BS of wearing braces for 4+ years as a teen, my ortho says I need them again. My bite is WAY off. I keep putting it off but it's getting more and more painful.

Mike, we will NOT be able to kiss if we're both wearing them because we could get brace lock!!

get the clear braces....

the plastic ones noone can tell that u have them on when u wearing them... we have those up here in toronto, your hick town may not have them. haha j/k
