I have always been one to say that instead of retaliating and making things worse, after these attacks the USA should have taken a step back and asked itself, why did this happen?

America is a great country, and I honestly believe in my heart that we try to do what is right. Look at Japan and Germany for examples - You cannot say they are puppet goverments. We helped them to create a government, and then set them loose. But this is not a quick process - The US military remained in Japan for six years, and much longer for Germany. And I'm sure ten years from now Iraq will be a great country standing on it's own.

The entire Muslim world is united against the US. They blame everything on the US. But who's fault is it? Who carved up the Middle East, creating Jordan and Isreal? Wasn't it.... England and - surprise - the French who creaded Trans Jordan and Isreal? Is it the fault of the US that the Jews returned to the Middle East in 1880 reaching a peak shortly after WWII?

The United States could pull out of the Middle East today, and it wouldn't change a thing. They would continue to fight and kill each other and the land would be ruled by warlords that terrorize each other and their population. And they would continue to blame us for their problems.
