For my PERSONAL ref stats, I looked up the subscriber info over the last 48 hours. And I noticed MANY joins from outside the USA.

All sales were made by ccbill btw. And my personal traffic is mainly TGP+linklist+SE, also in this order

Your content is very european in nature as wel as your sites. Tehse cater to mroe auro tastes. North americans tend to go for meat and potatos hardcore porn and extreme hardcore. This explains why you have more 'foreign' signups than american.

Personaly I like your style of sites but stats have always shown that sites with content like yours attracts more european and australian surfers. Just as your stats are showing.

Actually it was not really intented as promo for our sites. I just thought it is some nice info, since most affiliates don't see this kinda stats.

Therefor we are working on a stats system, which WILL show you this info. Because IMO, more and more people are geo targetting traffic. And with the country shown where the signup is coming from, you might be able to market your traffic even better

Well, I do know that many that filter foreign traffic do not consider Canada to be foreign...in fact...not sure I know of anyone that would consider Canada to be foreign traffic. I know one sponsor that filters foreign traffic but they do get people from Canada and the United Kingdom still signing up to their program

Of course there's a lot of good foreign traffic.

A sponsor would be an idiot to redirect ALL non USA traffic.

But it's definitely a good idea to redirect certain countries' traffic.

I never understand why webmasters don't install GeoIP on their servers to max out on traffic. it is easy and it takes less than 5 minutes to install.

this way you controll your international traffic and not your sponsor.

I agree, that is the best way, since you can filter it your own way, and you don't have to rely on sponsors what they will do with your traffic.

Personally I would send it to a sponsor who accepts UK traffic.
But each person has different traffic. Why not try both for one month, and see what made you most.

Statistically, yes they are. The percentage of foreign countries that chargeback is a lot higher than the percentage of US/Canada/UK chargebacks.

By several percentage points and Im not talking as little as 10% either. The largest percentage of fraud by far comes from some of the areas you listed.

Sorry, maybe I didnt make myself clear in that. I am totally agreeing with you. I have three years of stats to back it up and we are new to the game. If there were truly good sales over there programs like ours would be pushing the shit out of it. With the new visa regs. its made it next to impossible to cater to most of those areas now and still keep under the 1% chargeback cap.
