Hoes.com Sponsor Stats For July

Hi,

Well, we're dropping two big names this month because they continue to perform poorly. We were going to remove a 3rd, but hopefully their new RealityCash program will pull them up from the bottom of the heap ;-)

And thanks for all the great feedback we've been getting about this page. I hope it helps you as much as it helps me every month!

---------------------------------------------
Hoes.com Sponsor Stats July 2004:
http://www.hoes.com/sponsors/
---------------------------------------------

Here is what this is all about for those of you who haven't seen our thread before:

Because we advertise so many sites across so many niches using so many sponsors, the many webmasters who submit to us daily tend to ask who we recommend for reliability and conversion success.

Instead of just posting links to a few of our favorites, we decided to compile our stats from month to month and post them for all to see. Basically, we offer a ranking of the top 20 or so sponsors that converted for us during the month.

We plan to update this every month and hope that it helps a few of you to make an educated decision about which sponsors to advertise.

I did research that before posting this time and I think only ExtremePaychecks counted ONLY 2nd page... I pull my info from Statsremote which always looks at the first page unique column when pulling in stats, so more often than not, even if they show both first and second page unique stats on the sponsor's stats page, Statsremote will grab the 1st page info.

Please let me know if I've got that wrong for any sponsors you see listed and I will make a note for others to see the distinction.

Looks great as always -
I was thinking that it would be very informative to graph this out so you could get a sense of how each sponsor does over time ... especially as you get a few more months of reporting in...

Nothing fancy, just a line graph with a different color line for each sponsor over time versus $/click and another one vs. ratio. Visual info is always more easily digestible and gives the bigger picture better.

After I build more reliable traffic to http://www.pornsneak.com I'll start publishing too.

Thanks for the data!

That is an awesome idea! Maybe I'll give it 6 solid months and develop that with the data I've collected to that point. I'll just graph those sponsors that have made it to the list over that period and drop those that are in and out.

thanks man!

Yes, I was actually getting ready to pull the plug on adult.com for poor conversions, but now that the new stuff is ready, I can start adding it in and remove the old stuff so we can see how it converts... I'll try to get those links in before I leave for Miami next week.

Well, I'm disappointed that you didn't do well with Lightspeedcash. I wish I could win them all!

Think its time for sponsors to publish a list of affiliates who send the worst performing traffic, most cancels, most refunds, most chargebacks, and burn the most bandwidth?

Some traffic and sites just don't do well together, its not really a bad reflection on either individually, but the mix. Your stats are not even close to an accurate reflection of our average webmaster.

Looks like you do better with hardcore, and/or non-teen sites?

Absolutely.. it's all about the traffic sources. There have been sponsors other people have said were smoking for them, sucked for us on our traffic. And there's some sponsors, like Lightspeed, who some people can't sell and others sell off the hook. We do awesome with Lightspeed and always have. There are so many factors involved in the success or failure of a sponsor that it's not really fair or accurate to judge them based on only one set of circumstances. You would have to have input of many people iwth many traffic sources to give a fair representation of each sponsors performance.

Excellent points, Steve.

I think your individual girl sites are the best in the business and I'm sure if marketed the correct way will convert nicely. I think my traffic is too "general" to convert this type of site. My surfers are more interested in the all-encompassing megasites that they expect will give them the most bang for the buck. I would assume after they realize these sites aren't all they are cracked up to be, they will begin to check out the niche sites and of course amateur girl sites.

I don't market with galleries, just links to paysites and a few banners here and there... so a title like "Jordan Capri Teen Model" won't get nearly the attention that "Teen Sex Kittens Fucked Hard" would get. A surfer that just typed in "teen porn" in google would check out the Jordan site briefly, realize the variety just isn't there and move on.

I think I need to expand my "Marc's Notes" section a bit to give more accurate reasons as to why a sponsor may not convert well with my traffic and why they may eventually be dropped. It isn't always because the sponsor doesn't build good sites, it is often because the traffic just doesn't jive with the site type.

The other site which I plan to remove from hoes.com is SicCash. This program is simply filled with megasites much like many other programs. They have no excuse for not converting well with our traffic, thus they obviously aren't doing something right.

I don't think you ever availed yourself of our services either, to look at your sites and traffic to see if there was something we could see that would help your ratios....

Like I said, I wish I could win them all.

Does it bother you that there is a rumor floating about that some sponsors are watching for these kind of lists, and giving extra joins just to keep themselves from looking bad? Its called reverse-shaving, and if you think its not happening, you are wrong.

I think anything done by a sponsor to give misinformation to an affiliate is dishonest, even if it gives the affiliate more money in his pocket. They make the test results look good, its cheaper than running a banner on gfy. But what happens when you commit a lot of traffic based on that misinformation?

For a program that only caters to one niche they do a very poor job of converting it. I had very similar ratios with them with good traffic.

Yep, I'm on the hunt for a new program that is focused on the ebony niche. I have ALOT of black traffic coming into hoes.com and no one seems to be able to convert as well as I'd like.

Although unfair, as it takes the validity out of these stats. I still think it is very very smart move on the paysites behalf.

Marc,

I would like for you to give Hood Hunter a try. It is doing very solid with ebony traffic as I have tested it extensively. For that matter I would like for you to try all of the Adult Players Club sites. I know Jay gave me a try last month and I am interested to see how I stacked up in his rankings. Hit me up on icq 174199500 so we can possibley set womthing up. Thanks

Marc I like to see some real stats like that. I promoted myself over 100 sponsors and few sponsors who are in your bottom are the same for me. Sometimes I think that the stats are not really exact because too mush person spam on the board. Anyway keep your good work sir

Get me some more non-console links and hopefully I can send enough to get you on the list! Your teen movie site is doing well in my TEEN category. Keep up the nice work.

I have to say that clickmemedia converts quite well for me from only a few links.I have the same traffic as hoes.
