You may not like this but I've tried garlic suppliments and the garlic seems to keep them away. The down side is, you smell

the wonderful thing about the desert, even though I live in a community with 5 lakes, is that flying insects dehydrate and die so fast that you hardly ever see any. I havent seen a mosquito in a year and a half.

The "x" thing SO does not work. I think it's based on the pain principle - distract the brain with a different pain, so you forget to itch.

Garlic supplements, hm? interesting.

BigG, that is quite the cab fare. I'm sure you have better things to do with your money

Sunblock first, then repellant, according to local experts.

Really? Just slather on the toothpaste? This is new to me! But it sounds crazy enough that it might work!

See I knew everyone had their own home remedy

I'm really allergic so my bites are always awful. I haven't found anything that works, but I'm willing to try the things in this thread.

One thing that keeps them away when you're out on your patio is to plug in an oscillating fan. They don't like the moving air and will stay away. I read that you can put the fan out there for an hour or so before a BBQ and the mosquitos will stay gone while you're out there. I haven't done that, but I have put the fan outside and it does seem to keep them away.

Now I have to go because this thread is making me itch!
