How about injecting a blood clotting agent into his vein. by the time the blood stops flowing he should have enough time to dispose of the needle and make it look like an accident.

I believe if you did some research, lots of famous artist and writers choose the drunk driving car accident as the way out.

A party and winding roads with guest afterward saying ?it was common knowledge that he was depressed but that was months ago and he was the life of the party when I saw him. Yes, he was drinking but he was his old self again.? (something like that)

put on a walkman at high volume, and then get run over by a train/truck...

put on a bussiness outfit (with a long tie) and then while checking if you have enough oil in the engine, accidently let your tie get caught into a fan...

same as above, but with something more powerful, some industrial equipment perhaps...
