I'm in the learning mode right now too, I've been submitting away to TGP's but finding they are sucking a lot of bandwidth, and not signing up. So going back thorugh my search engine optimization stuff to concentrate more on search engines.

ldinternet, could you tell me where you found the reasearch on banner placement? That is one thing I haven't found yet in my searches.

I really like this thread, I implemented Wolfshades suggestion of sep. sub dir. for each AVS system, signed up for CyberAge under whoever put their link up there

I signed up a few days ago with FNP.

I want to be sucessful too! So far this month I've made slightly less than my bandwidth cost, and I've spent hours! I want to do better, I want to learn to design my sites better so they sign up. So I'm reading the tips on Toms Newbie booster, checking the boards, taking a break from mass building to focus on quality...meaning sign-ups for me quality and SE and AVS hits.

Thanks for all the support on this forum! Any more AVS systems you recommend, post your referral links. I have FNP, CyberAge, and AdultCheck so far, so something other than them.

I have no idea how to set up a server, but there should be some good info at Planet Half-Life.

I used to hang out in the netmag.co.uk games forum. A bunch of people would normally find a server that wasn't too busy, and play on that. As we're all in the UK, we normally used the Wireplay servers that were mostly empty at night. I guess most people only play at work.

I haven't played for about 5 or 6 months.

Thought I don't think that the "empty server" method would work here, lol. As far as I know, all that is needed is a fast connection and it is possible to host a game.

Hey you seen the guys who use porno pics in their spraypaint logos?

How to make money with an AVS Site:

Build loads of small AVS sites under freenetpass which feature 30-40 pics and advertise the hell out of another AVS site of yours on these pages. Something like "Like these naked midget pissing pics? My friends got a shitload of them at his site....go check it out!" Advertising your SexKey (another free avs, they signed up once, they will do it again) site or whatever on all your little FNP sites will bring you rediculous ratios 1:4-10 or so and make you some nice bling.

You guys might want to give Top Bucks new AVS a try. It's called One Verify. It's really nice. It wasn't around when this warm and fuzzy thread first started.

If you want to make good money with AVS, i'd suggest you build 2-3 sites a week and treat them as if they were pay sites (rather than 10-20/day spam sites). once you have say 50-100 sites covering many niches and different angles on niches.. just sit back and feed them with all your quality traffic and tweak the hell out of them.. just like you would a pay site. the initial money you make from sponsors will fade out and be replaced by money from sales to the AVS and you should do well. good luck.

chicks on a gay website signup form.. this will hurt your ability to sell gay.. sure the webmaster could get off his ass to change the graphic himself.. but since at least 70% of free AVS'ers design as badly as this one im not sure they'd know how to cut out and paste a guy in there.. and is it possible to cut out the page in between the "instant access" page and the sign up form... not only does it have pornstars on it (which could fuck up niches) it's just an extra click in between the user and his credit card.. sure it probably helps sell for the people that did a shit job of selling themselves.. but.. is it really necessary? could it be an option for people who want to do more than slap a few pics into dreamweaver to turn off?

3% clickthrough isn't that conservative... even inside an avs... you'd REALLY have to singleminded gear the site to sell one sponsor..

An adult verification site is about working smart too. This means if you have been a TGP webmaster and won't to move into the AVS market, use your existing TGP galleries as the members section so you only have to build a tour. You build an effective 2-3 page tour, use your existing clean gallery, and now you've got an AVS site! Then you promote the hell out of your AVS tour at LL, toplists, etc.

I think AVS a great way to protect content from people that should not be viewing it. But I know webmasters have free sites and tgp galleries so here are other ways to get set up while working smart.

Build a tour with avs script.
Mirror the tour with no avs script.
Build a main members page for ad placement.
Build two 20 image galleries.

With this recipe you can bake:
1 avs site
2 tgp galleries
1 free site

To add some spice to the mix, build an FNP Premium site with 300+ images (or whatever the requirement is for the AVS). Make a nice tour that will pull a lot of clicks, etc. Now on your entire site (see the recipe above) just promote your Premium site. This will cause new members from the free site and TGP galleries to buy a Premium membership and current members to upgrade to a Premium membership instead of going to a sponsor.

"But oh no! I want sponsor links!"
You put your sponsor links in the Premium site. Link to a few porn paysites, link to a DVD or sex toy shop, and link to a "free chat" or "free movie" site (where it's completely free for the surfer but you get paid for private chats or upgrades). Now the existing premium members will purchase from your free chat or sponsor links on the Premium site.

I am personally happy with the AVS sale itself

Any sales i get from my members area is purely a bonus. I know i could probably do better from within my AVS, but i dunno i like to offer too many pics sometimes

Keeps the surfers happy.. and hell they may buy a different pass from a different AVS on another of my sites!

I use PROAdult and have found I make a lot of sales and get killer traffic from their members area.

AVS sites kick ass because it is an easier sell, plus you have a lot of upsell options in your member's area. So who cares whether they joined through you or not?

Plus, the PROAdult Quantum program retains rebills like mad.

I made this up for the newbies based on Site Pass AVS - but you can use it for any AVS system with a premium and regular level. Just adjust the number of pics for the premium site and then work your way down adjusting the lower levels accordingly.

Linking them all together? Just link up - use the galleries to upsell to the "free" pass level site, use the "free" pass level site to upsell to the "regular" pass level site, use the "regular" pass level site to upsell to the "premium" level site.

Once you get ONE of these structures made, start a hub listing off all of the different sites. Every time you make a new structure, add the sites to the hub.

i know this is old but I will just say ..research, research and research again. There are a number of avs specific resources out there and most all of them have something you can take away from them. It a different game than tgp sponsor upsells.

AVS sites kick ass because it is an easier sell, plus you have a lot of upsell options in your member's area. So who cares whether they joined through you or not? Just adjust the number of pics for the premium site and then work your way down adjusting the lower levels accordingly. Linking them all together? Just link up - use the galleries to upsell to the "free" pass level site, use the "free" pass level site to upsell to the "regular" pass level site, use the "regular" pass level site to upsell to the "premium" level site. Once you get ONE of these structures made, start a hub listing off all of the different sites. Every time you make a new structure, add the sites to the hub.

There are a number of avs specific resources out there and most all of them have something you can take away from them. It a different game than tgp sponsor upsells.

digihax So Fucking Banned Join Date: Feb 2003 Posts: 349	I just started building a bunch of AVS sites.. threw in some dialers and such on them as well so hopefully they will do well I used to run an AVS site waaaaaay back in the day and it did quite well until geocities killed it hehe bastards hehe well in anycase I dont use freehosting anymore so I think it should go well again just my take it or leave it.
