Mmm my parents introduced me to all those weird foods at an early age, so I've been a sushi lover for at least 20 years now

I like it all pretty much, except Gyoza (ick!) and imitation crab in the rolls. I'd rather have a nice slice of sashimi than a roll, though.

Marks & Spencer have the nicest sushi I've tasted in the UK.

Besides that, try Wagamama Restaurant in Manchester, though they are expensive.

Really? Well, japan does have one of the highest life expectancy rates in the world, because they eat so much omega 3s (fish)

I love sushi/sashimi ect. Even goyza (ellie) just like sushi though bad goyza (aka pot stickers) are either great or bad.

My only issue with sushi is that I can not stand the seaweed. Small bits in a cucumber salad are ok, but the amount in a roll is way to much. So sadly I must pass on most rolls.

I don't mind it if the fish in the middle is cooked (so technically it's not the genuine sushi I guess). I just can't eat fish/meat raw. I could never eat a bloody steak either, has to be brown thru and thru.

I have tasted sushi that was cooked, and it just does not taste as good as raw uncooked fish used in sushi, so I prefer the uncooked type. I just hope it doesnt have any unknown sideeffects.

I just had sushi the other day made by "Tojo".. He's world known, Did all the backstage shit for Rolling Stones, etc,, hes been on Martha Stewart as well.. Also he's the inventor of the "California Roll" I was truly in heaven..

For years I thought that sushi ONLY had raw fish, so I avoided it... now I absolutely love it. My favourites:

1. Teriyaki chicken (with lettuce and sesame seeds)
2. Avocado
3. Vegetarian (carrot, pickled cucumber, lettuce, some sort of bread)
4. California (similar to veg but with crab?)

The only problem is with the seaweed, it's pretty high in fibre so it hits you later.
