She didn't break any rules let her stay.

Ice 06-24-2004 04:01 PM

the whole reason is to promote GFY.... rules are rules

ROUND THREE CHALLENGE: This rounds challenge is to produce the best pic of yourself in the GFY tank top and panties. The best pic wins the $500 round 3 prize. 10 Girls will be knocked out this round. Since we are mailing the clothes, the round will end on June 11.

I can assume that she is wearing the GFY tank and thong but that wasn't the point of the photo contest.

Lets bring up another point... correct me if Im wrong but didn't Kitty drop out because she lives in Austraila or something like that and didn't get her GFY gear in time? Im sure she could have found a generic white tank and thong to take a picture in.

Although the pic is very nice and well done, there could have been an effort made to take a pic with the GFY logo showing.

I say she should be disqualified.

Just my :2 cents:

until someone posts this they all wanted her out, now it's time for a couple to pop in and say how she should stay.

and to me the logo was obscured by water in some pics so disqualify them and for the ones where i couldn't see it on the panties as well disqualify them too please.

Don't like the competition?

Anyways, while it was implied in the rules that you see the logo, it wasn't stated. I don't think you can disqualify her for not being as astute as some of the other contestants :)

I think in this case you'll have to let it go. The rules actually say they're supposed to be IN the tank top and panties and there's a bunch that weren't actaully wearing both items, never mind that the rules didn't say you had to see the logo. :2 cents:

Maybe you could reach a compromise and have her re-shoot the photo? I think that would appease both sides.. and in the future make sure it's stated as a rule.

This is why companies should really think about throwing contests.

Back in my short stint in mainstream I did some work with an online auction company and they ran a contest until they found out about all of the legal issues involved...yeah I've seen the "disclaimer" however it's exactly things like these that need to be spelled out or you are opening yourself up to the possibility of litigation.

There are tangible rewards for this contest which someone's chances of winning are being compromised because people don't quite understand 'CONTRACTS!!!!" LOL

abyss_al 06-24-2004 04:03 PM

she should stay... we all know what the shirt says... it is a GFY tourney, we all know... its a great shot... more creative than a bunch of the crap entered... better thatn your average pose... must stay :thumbsup

Sorry Ice but this is not true. Kitty didn't go to the FEd Ex station where the package was sitting for a week or so and get it. We got it back here in the office a week ago after FedEx returned it to us. Major difference there.

Thank you!! I am very pissed off that I went to all this trouble to make a good pic, and now they think I didn't wear the top and panties. I posted another pic in this thread btw. One where the logo is showing. WTF would I pose in the exact same gear without the logo while I have the GFY gear at home??

fuelcell 06-24-2004 04:06 PM

no offense meant, but it shoulda been obvious to include the gfy logo in the submitted picture

She is in her GFY tank top and panties. So she's not showing the logo, if you wanted that, you would have said it. No reason to disqualify her if you ask me, she did as the challenge said.

Doesn't matter what you think is obvious..it was not spelled out in the rules.

Go read a fucking cereal box contest...see how much legalese there is in that shit..read the back of a lottery ticket..they hire lawyers and companies to handle this kind of stuff for a reason....to avoid situations like this.

samuel 06-24-2004 04:08 PM

let her stay.. I vote for the argument against desqualification..

btw: my car has a strange noise like pic poc pic poc... could she help me to find what wrong?

I know for a fact that several ladies had major issues with receiving the clothing. I think a couple of foreign ladies even dropped out because of the distance issue. It is only fair to be firm with the flavor of the rules when people already suffered because of them. There is a reason why a GFY logo was required: Branding the site and the contest. I'm sorry but it was a requirement in selecting the submission to use the outfit branded. How come she was the only one that submitted non-GFY logo picture? Everyone else did to one degree or another.

LexiLexxx 06-24-2004 04:10 PM

She is a ~HOTTIE~ with a nice bodyyyyyyyyyy!

The age of common sense and reason have passed us by.

Raven 06-24-2004 04:11 PM

I'm certainly not a contestant...those who know me know that beauty and youth have been replaced with wisdom and wit....

Having said that, didn't I read in the beginning that Miss Gfy should possess skills and talents and intelligence, along with beauty?

So, it seems to me, that, while it wasn't the letter of the rules, there is the spirit of the rules to be considered.

I'm not voting either way; but common sense dictates the logo should show, since it's a gfy contest and specific attire was required. Why bother having a logo on a shirt if it doesn't matter whether it's seen?

Since there was no violation of the contest rules the are no legitimate grounds for disqualification. Of course it was implied that the letters "GFY" would be seen however it was not stated as a requirement. I'm sure her decision not to show the letters "GFY" will be reflected in the voting results (both the masses and the judges).

Leave her in the contest, she's broken no rules.

Digipimp 06-24-2004 04:13 PM

oh and if you wanted the ladies to interpret the rules to mean things they don't say then you shouldn't have voted some of the smarter ladies out and you should have had some contenst that weren't just about T&A.

:winkwink:

NBDesign 06-24-2004 04:14 PM

If they cannot follow the rules....

Dump her.... you had much prettier candidates.

I agree. She didn't break the rules... the Rules don't have the work "Logo" in them at all.

If you disqualify her for not showing the logo, why not disqualify people who didn't show the tag of the panties???? The rules didn't say that either.

Big debate in our office.

Argument for disqualification:
Some think she should be disqualified because the GFY logo is not in the pic and "it's a given" that it should be.

Argument against:
The rules do not say you have to see the logo.

Let the masses decide!

Make no mistake, she is hot as hell! But do no vote on that.

Some girls are not even " in " the shirts or panties ( #3 and #12 )

So they should be disqualified also !

KEEP BO!!!!!

I think she is a very sweet girl and technically did not break the rules. :2 cents:
