They wanna be assholes..let every TGP owner that checks the 404s see that. Along with the other things you could do, that would make it very public to the people that would hurt them most.

If you are using their content you may have no choice if they ask you to. Next time filter through an FPA so you can swap out links and sponsors can't force you to delete galleries they don't know about. All they will see in referal logs is your FPA. Done right it can even increase sales.

Hell, take it one step further and do what I described in this article at http://www.adult-site-traffic.com/ad...pulation.shtml so you can still make money if they shitcan your account. Multiple sponsors can work in this method if you have a brain of your own which I know you do.

That's all good and dandy, however, tgp scripts don't read the page then say to itself "hey, this might explain the cheating gallery. i better tell my owner about these ICQ logs."

Thank you, this is EXACTLY what the program does not understand. They figure we can just delete the galleries and move on with promoting them still. When in fact, it would cripple that aspect of our business.

That's true, but the gallery owners in question are pretty high-volume and likely aren't in the normal submit scripts that we run automatic scans on and weed out the 404 and redirects. I know some of the larger places would notice. It's still not a lot..but there's no one perfect solution here other then the sponsor pullin it's head out of their own ass and realize they're fucking over the people that pay their rent.

the thing here is. Smaller partner accounts are most likely what is making him his money. Jact can correct me if I am wrong on that one but I know how that side of the biz works.

Smaller TGP's will not notice nor care. A few may but most will just say "oh well, shitcan em"

Anyhow, if you do have to pull the links, here is the fastest and most effective way to handle this situation. And the beauty is, you don't have to 404 any of your galleries...

Simply login to your server with SSH.
Tar your entire html directory.
Untar the directory into a folder on your desktop.
Using a program like "Advanced Find & Replace" , change all of the links to whatever new program you want to send the traffic to.
You can even replace entire blocks of html, if you also want to replace images from your existing sponsor.
Tar the folder up.
Upload it back to your server.
Untar it.
That's it.

Of course, I'm assuming that you have hundreds or thousands of effected gallery pages..and manually changing each page would take way to long.

not only is changing the galleries going to get them banned, but with the very intricate designs Lady M turns out, it's highly impractical.

Not to mention the content in the gallery template (the background chopped up stuff) is likely licenced to the sponsor and that would make them guilty of copyright infringement.

Take it from someone that has also had to pull links from a sponsor that went belly up...and had over 2 years of galleries out there..changing the links does work. And I'm not aware of a single blacklist.

The gallery remains identical...only the sponsor link has changed. The surfer gets to see the same gallery, and the TGP owner doesn't have some of his pages going off into 404 land.

O.K...just read the post above me...and yes..you are right..if the galleries use content and/or other graphical elements from the sponsor...yes, this is a bit of a problem...
