This was started one year ago ! The funny part of it is that bunch of established morons predicted me the worst as if I was an idiot. Who looks idiot now ? I still don't think its a good idea to rely on your 'own' scrubbing plan; with a merchant account, best to use someone established like Netbilling that has a history of maintaining good fraud scrubs so one can keep one's own acct.
and if this guy is low volume, all's it takes is a few bad months and some jackasses to ruin his MA for him, imho. |

1- It was CCBill -> Merchant. I notice a slight increase in my sales. Big increase in my rebills. 2- Moneris 3- As I don't know who might be reading this board, I don't think it is a good idea to say how I manage my anti-fraud system. Sorry.  4- I promote my paysites myself but I will be launching an affiliate program soon... But I will probably use CCBill as my processor as I don't want to handle all the paychecks and hassles... DonovanPhilips : Yes skillfull : Thanks  " Established GFY webmasters " - and most of the time, haters. - considers themselves much more seriously than they should. Most of them are clowns and non achievers. The best exchange of tips and advices I ever had here were with webmasters with only a few posts. Beleive me, having 20 000 posts and being a hater on GFY doesn't mean you have money in your pocket but... Do they know we know this ? |

We are thinking of getting our own merchant too, but in US it's almost impossible for EU company.
In EU there're only 2-3 banks that can deal with adult MA and it's not easy too. Has anybody here expirience in running MA in EU bank? I would appreciate your advice.

Steen2 : The process was very easy. Only problem is that you have to have/write your own member management script. + You have to manage your own anti-fraud system.

I was trying to discourage you from doing your own scrubbing with your own MA, I don't think that is bad advice even today, one year later! Does having your own merchant account still require you to have a fairly large chunk of cash sitting in your account in case of chargebacks, etc????
I remember a few years ago wondering why a large website based here in Chicago was with IBIll (they were lucky and escaped before the current BS started to happen at Ibill) They told me that with their volume they would need to have a TON of cash reserves just sitting in the bank, and if the bank decided something was amiss they could've frozen all those funds while they investigated things etc... Going 3rd party made perfect sense to me with that reasoning..... Seemed safer...
