Each type has its own way of layering. So really depends on what type of sandwhich your talking about.

Mix of garlic, tomato, basil and salt and pepper on the bottom. Then a think layer of Ceranoham. That is my favorite sandwich.
Or Turkey, bacon, mayonaise. In any order will do. xox |

K, I only use one piece of bread. So here is how it goes.
Bread, mustard (usually dijon), lettuce, tomato, cucumber, meat, cheese. Then I put it in the toaster till the cheese melts. Cut it in half, put the two pieces together, and smack dab in the middle of your sandwich is this wonderful piling of melted cheese. So when your sandwich is together it goes like this: Bread, mustard, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, meat, cheese, cheese, meat, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, mustard, bread!

bread, ham, cheese, bread......... that's it for me. LOL
If I eat a burger, it has to be bottom of the bun, burger, cheese, onion, pickles and a LITTLE mustard on top of that and then the bun. Fix my burgers upside down and I come unglued. LOL |

Sour dough roll (local bakery makes them) un-toasted. Lots of peppered roast beef sliced medium thin. Mayo that is home made. store bought mayo is icky. Thin layer of mayo on both bread sides, the fat prevents bread from getting soggy. Mustard, slighlty grainy. Not the typical american yellow mustard. Thin sliced purple onions. Few slices provolone cheese. Sliced dill pickles. Half or more of a smashed avacodo. Slight smearing of horseradish on top bun. A sprinkle of salt. |
